Growing Pains

August 19, 2014 by Courtney 21 Comments

Hope you all had a lovely Monday. I have been reflecting upon this little blog of mine and how much I love writing it. This outlet has given me so much joy and fulfillment. I was told long ago to pick a topic and stick to it and I have never been able to do that. I think I enjoy so many different things and to honestly reflect my personality I need to jump around a bit. It’s not so much that I lack focus, but that my brain jumps around from one thing to the next and I am always working on ten different projects at once. It’s perhaps a blessing and a curse. I am planning to make a few cosmetic changes around here. Nothing too major but wanted to apologize ahead of time if things look a little disheveled from time to time. Sometimes there are growing pains amidst change.   athoughtfulplaceblogcollage I will be tying hard to better organize things for you around here and to make the blog as comfy as possible for when you stop by. I fully intend to keep blogging about whatever pops into my mind and to truly share what we are doing around here. I think that is the only way for me to keep my creative juices flowing. If you have a favorite topic of the ones listed above that you love reading about here, I would love to know. Enjoy your day. I’ll be back tomorrow with a couple of new additions to the children’s rooms.

love to see you change – change is always good. i am the same 🙂 cannot focus on writing about one thing 🙂 so my blog jumps on the topics a bit too 🙂 and i don't mind other people do that – we are never focusing on one thing at the time in real life, why should be here – this is a lifestyle blog, so please never change
    i love you xxx

Love this! I think it's only natural for this to happen after blogging for a while. I, for one, love reading a variety of posts! It definitely keeps things interesting, and I think that people are into lots of different categories anyway. I look forward to reading more, and good luck with the blog facelift! 🙂

I'm the same way. I can't just focus on one thing on my blog. I like to write about many things and I'm ok with that.
And I'm glad you are too. I love all the topics you write about Courtney.

Courtney, I love all of your topics but particularly about organization and interiors. I also love hearing about your family. You have a wonderful writing style. When I have a stressful day I love reading what you've been up to and I even go back often and read your old posts. Thanks for such a great blog.

Courtney, I love your blog though I don't always comment. 🙂 The variety is definitely what keeps me coming back – if I had to pick a favorite or two, interiors and fashion. I also love that you and your hubby have a weekly date night – it's so good for your marriage to keep focusing on each other when so many things pull you in different directions. Have a great week! 🙂

Dear Courtney, personally I can't choose any favourite topic on your blog! I like them all! I certainly came to your blog out of interest in home designing and organization, but to this day it turns out that my absolute favourite posts were the personal ones about family relationship and the letter to your son!
You know how they say that some actors are so good that even just reading the phone-book they'd be a pleasure to watch? Then I think the same can be said about your writing here! I enjoy your tone, the liveliness of the ideas and photos, the joy you seem to have in sharing all these things. Your blog oozes with what us French call "joie de vivre" and that's what makes me check it every morning!!!
So please keep up the good work!
