Holiday Haven: They Way We Are

December 8, 2010 by Courtney 13 Comments

Such a treat introducing Leah from The Way We Are. I first met Leah when she contributed to the 6th Street Design School series, “Good Design with Kids in Mind” Leah is a breath of fresh air and has a design style that I adore. If you haven’t already visited her sweet blog, you will love it. Speaking of sweet .  .  . The Way We Are Hello Thoughtful readers! I am so honored Courtney asked me to share my lil haven with you! I have only recently found A Thoughtful Place and I am blown away by how much Courtney accomplishes and her creativity is endless! Luv ya girl! So my idea of a holiday haven is… A cup of hot cocoa by the fire with my family.

A walk through sparkly Christmas lights. I am so excited to show my daughter this year. She already wants me to stop the car whenever she sees a house with lights on it!

And most would say getting a pedicure or massage would relax them during this season. But oh no I am most relaxed when being “productive” as I like to say. And being productive during the holidays would be making cute little Christmas decorations like these fabric ruffle trees I recently made.

Thanks again! Luvs! Any girl that decorates with pink during Christmas is automatically amazing in my book! How cute is that? And we are cut from the same mold because being productive is relaxing to me as well. Thanks, Leah!

Those trees are adorable! She is very talented. It is always fun to see Christmas through the eyes of a young child.

Something about being productive takes some stress away, huh?! I love admiring those beautiful houses all lit up with lights too. Might be one of the only things I miss about my previous drive home from work each day in December!

I love the green dresser… people are so bold with colour and I feel like I am always playing everything safe by just re-staining things. I would love a good statement and maybe just maybe it will be grass green.

I'm with Leah and you, Courtney. I am so more more relaxed when I am being productive. I crave productivity! That cup of hot cocoa looks so enticing. I will check out Leah's blog.
