Home Tour: Final Christmas Touches

December 21, 2010 by Courtney 35 Comments

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that our family {and santa} soon would be there. IMG_8907 We are enjoying these last few days before Christmas. They are filled with cookie making, family, Christmas music, touring of lights, luncheons, holiday date nights and lots of Christmas stories beneath the tree. And of course the occasional temper tantrum from our two year old {just keeping it real, people!}. Here is a final tour of what Christmas looks like in our home. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! IMG_8861                                                        Lit garlands are resting above all of the cabinets. IMG_8867                                    Even the kitchen could not escape my love for lime green this holiday season. IMG_8870IMG_8871 We have a large board that hosts our Christmas cards. . this year, the ones that didn’t fit are hanging from clothes pins on our garland. I think I will continue this tradition. I am loving it. IMG_8872                                           The lime green accents were picked up at HomeGoods this year. IMG_8922 IMG_8877IMG_8886 Starting to set the table for Christmas Eve. I will be using the gift tags from jones design company for name cards.                                                     The gold, glitter ornaments are from Big Lots. IMG_8887IMG_8888IMG_8894IMG_8896                                                    Simple candy canes set the scene for where the drinks will be. Your home is stunning! I love all the sparkles. After I saw that printable on the credenza in your breakfast/dining area (I think?) I knew I needed it! So I printed it up and put it in a pretty frame. It's in our living room now, thanks to you! You're so creative in how to display your cards…I love them on the garland. I bet the kids are getting super excited for Christmas! Yay (:

Yay! Courtney came to my party 🙂 Seeing your decorations makes me want to start all over. I'm loving that you combined the fruit ornaments with the balls in your glass container. Hope I can remember to do that next year. And yes, do continue with the cards on the stairs – too cute.

Thanks for joining the party! Merry Christmas!

You have such a beautiful home! I love the garland and lights over the cabinets! I did that in my last house….I couldn't do that in my current home because the cabinets go all the way up to the ceiling!

Courtney, your home looks beautiful and so inviting! We are almost done…hosted our Annual Bunco Holiday party tonight and everyone had a good time. We all went as a group over to our dear friend's home prior to the festivities to pay our respects to her husband and her family. While it was a bit somber…we all really appreciated the reality check.
