So excited to give a wrap up of the HomeGoods blogger party we had over the weekend. When HomeGoods asked me to host this event, I was thrilled. To meet readers of my blog, shop before the store opened and just enjoy a great morning in one of my favorite places was like an early Christmas present for me. And my whole family got involved! It was just as much fun to share this morning with them. I can’t wait to show you the highlights. My sister was sweet to snap a photo as she helped me set up at 7:30 am! The night before the party, I hopped over to HomeGoods with my family so I could pull some really fun pieces together. I wanted to show the party goers some of my tricks for setting up vignettes and for creating a common thread throughout the décor. I fell in love with that chest of drawers shown above. One of the lucky ladies scooped it up. In fact, this entire vignette was bought which made it fun. The night I pulled all of this I was like a kid in a candy store. I was even able to go in the back room to look at the new items that would be going out. I could hardly contain myself. In fact, my daughter had to keep saying, “Focus, Mom. Focus.” I also pulled some example of fun pillow combinations so I could share tips on mixing pattern and scale. This combo made me wishing I had a clean white slate of a guest room to makeover. … … Julie, the store manager, and her fellow HomeGoods managers put together a delicious breakfast bar filled with hot coffee, juice and treats. They even remembered to have cookies for the little ones. That was a huge hit with my kiddos!!! Here I am getting ready for guests to arrive with the District Manager as well as the store manager, Julie. These ladies were wonderful. From the moment I met Julie I knew we would have a fantastic time. And a huge shout out to my sweet dad who took over the job of photographer for the morning. So thankful to have these photos. Here are some candid shots of the morning: … /… And my beautiful sister and business partner was right there to help set up and run one of the fun games where I was able to give away $250. Good times! … … Squeel! I see the very drapes I bought for my living room in the hands of the shopper above. … ,,, … A little pattern mixing . . . love these girls!!! And such a pleasure to meet Laura of Meaningful Spaces. I recently fell in love with her chalkboard desk. And she was so sweet to do a wrap up of the party here. I also had the pleasure of meeting this darling family. A proud mom and her two talented daughters. Watch out for Marissa and Alisa as they are cooking up the cutest blog called All In Good Twine. {Thanks for the cute wrap up, girls}. … Honestly, this was such a treat for me. And I can’t thank all who attended enough. Some drove from quite a distance and some are local faces I hope to run into again. Such a nice group and I felt so fortunate to share my morning with them. Cheers to HomeGoods and for making this morning happen. And stay tuned. If you don’t follow my on Instagram you can find me @athoughtfulplace where I will soon be giving away three $50 gift cards to HomeGoods. Looking forward to it!
