Homemade Strawberry Popsicles

February 20, 2020 by Courtney 1 Comment

There is something about a popsicle that immediately takes you back to childhood. They have always been a favorite dessert around here. This recipe is scrumptious and so easy to make.

Nothing better than a strawberry and cream popsicle. We have used our popsicle mold constantly since ordering it. It’s been fun to experiment with different recipes and flavors.

These are a crowd please over here. Every time I make them, they quickly disappear.

I pour the strawberry juice just shy of the top of the mold.

Stick the popsicle mold in the freezer for 5 hours or more. I like to loosen the popsicles from the mold by running warm water over it. Works like a charm.

Homemade Strawberry Popsicles

Course Dessert
Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 5 hours 10 minutes
Servings 10 popsicles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together and pour into popsicle mold.

  2. Allow to freeze for 5 hours or overnight.

  3. Loosen popsicles by running mold under warm water.

I love being able to make these for my children and have them ready to go in the freezer. They both LOVE them. And always nice to know exactly what is in them. This is one of those items where homemade doesn’t mean more work.

Enjoy the day, sweet friends.

These look so good! Can you use homemade “buttermilk” (regular milk + vinegar or lemon juice)? I don’t usually have buttermilk on-hand.
