How to Make Easy Napkin Rings

January 23, 2013 by Courtney 11 Comments

Thank you for your sweet comments about the acrylic table runner. I had many emails asking about the striped napkin rings so I thought I would tell you my trick for how to make napkin rings. Paper! It’s that simple. I use cute scrapbook paper and call it a day. One piece is always enough to do even a table of 12 people. I make sure measure and cut evenly so they all match and then wrap them around the rolled napkin. You can secure with a small piece of tape. IMG_1387_words   IMG_1363 The reason I love using paper so much is because I can choose a fun print that works well with the rest of the table. I can literally create 12 napkin rings for under one dollar. I also love that I can toss them away. In a cozy home with little storage, it’s nice not to have to find a place for things. And let’s face it, I am not big on setting the same table twice so this lets me switch it up and little to no cost and have the look I want. Keep an eye out for the dollar section at Target. They often have a pack of six coordinating papers for only a dollar. Wrap extra pieces around candles or flower vases and you have a really pulled together look.   IMG_1378 And below is our Valentine’s table {details down down the road} where I used the polka dot printed paper. You can see details on how to make your own menus right here.   IMG_1276 So that is my cheap little trick! I am now off and running to Alt. Summit. My wonderful mother in law is here to be with the kiddos as my husband will be traveling with to Utah with me to clock some time on the slopes. If you are nosey like me and what to see what all of the Alt. hype is you can follow me on Instagram I can keep you posted with fun updates along the way. You can find me here @athoughtfulplace Wish me luck! Enjoy the rest of your week and I promise to come back and recap the whole Alt. experience. ……………..……enjoy your week!
