Every once in a while I come across an idea and seriously shake my head at the genius involved. Jennifer from dimples & tangles blew me away with her sassy fan. Darling, right?! Our bonus room is sporting a fan and we just can’t get rid of it. We need it in the summer months and I have been told by the higher powers that be that we are not removing it. So, this little fan of mine is getting the Jennifer Treatment. Do you know she used fabric for that fancy little fan! And before it was sporting this chevron number, she had painted the fan for her son’s room with stripes: Here is the style board I am working off of for our bonus room. It has come to a stand still. ……………………….….the plan …………………………status quo I have yet to do the gallery wall and our drapes need some serious hemming. Ahhhh. . . the ever growing list. I am now adding “Fan”tastic Fabric Fan to the mix. Thank you to Jennifer for the smashing idea. Other bonus room projects: Office Space Striped Walls

Don't feel bad. I just barely hemmed the rest of our curtains the other day…after living here for almost two years…not my favorite thing to do!

Wow Courtney, I'm humbled by your sweet words! Your room is going to be so inviting and fun, and that striped wall is to die for. Seeing your map on your design board reminded me that I also did a fan when my son was little where I covered the blades with maps! It really turned out cool, too. Scrapbook paper or wallpaper are also good options, just coat a little mod podge on top of it and around the edges. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Genius ! This couldn't be a better idea. I love the stripes, it would be perfect for my son's room. We can't live without our ceiling fans and really they aren't the most attractive, so this is a perfect solution to tie them into the decor. Thanks!!

I painted my fan blades when I was a kid. I don't recall asking my parents to do so, I just grabbed the paint, took the blades off with a screwdriver, and went to town! The fabric is a GREAT idea!

I love seeing those floral and striped Ikea pillows pop up in different designs. I bought two a couple years ago and still love them so much. 🙂

First, I must confess I have been less than prompt at reading and commenting lately…but know I always miss reading ALL your decorating goodness.
Secondly, I am proud to say that I "know" Jennifer. Amazing girl all the way around. Have followed her blog for quite a while. Always impressed by BOTH of you.
Thirdly, I told you before I loooove those striped walls. I remember when you asked about pops of red with those picture frames. Looks like all white won out. 😉
Fourthly, well, there is no fourthly. Is that even a word?
Time to catch up on a "few" of your posts. 🙂
