I Heart Charleston!

June 13, 2011 by Courtney 24 Comments

It’s so wonderful to be home safe and sound and reunited with my family! My trip home from Charleston was a bit eventful and long, but I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful long weekend with amazing women. The seven girls I spent time with are not only remarkably witty, intelligent, successful, and ridiculously fun, but they are also some of the most authentic people I have the pleasure of knowing. So thank you to the Lyons girls for another too good to be true reunion {and Carrie and Jeanne  . . . you were dearly missed!} I am super excited to show you some pictures from Charleston once I get some sleep and upload them from the camera. Charleston lives up to it’s reputation! It is such a charming city. I LOVED it. It’s both picturesque and very down to earth. I experienced the infamous shrimp and grits and it’s scrumptious! And I may have had the best hamburger ever made at Poe’s Tavern. I ordered The Sleeper {Roasted Garlic Blue Cheese and Buffalo shrimp}. Yummers! Have any of you been there?

{I should have picked up one of these mugs . . . .super cute!!!!} via We also checked out the darling Vendue Inn and had cocktails up on the rooftop bar. It was a beautiful evening and such a great place for enjoying the sunset across the city.   via And last but not least, I was super excited to meet up with Chassity from Look Linger Love. Just as adorable as I thought. And what a lucky girl living in such an endearing city! So fun to meet you, Chassity! Excited to hear all about New York and the Bali Style Summit! I will share a photo once I get them uploaded. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Good to be back!

YUM – my mouth is watering just thinking about that yummy food. Isn't it fun how much food can define a place and an experience? Glad you had a great trip – hope to visit Charleston one day.

Charleston is one of my favorite cities. When I visited about 4 years ago, we ate at Poe's. The best burgers ever!
