Have you seen all of the magazines that are painted with indigo this season. I am loving it. Especially here. So pretty. I don’t know about you, but I have had a harder time this year rebounding from the Christmas season. I thoroughly enjoyed every day of our holiday break and loved that our entire family had so many parties and gatherings. I think I am on family withdrawal! I love our home during the Christmas season and it’s always an adjustment when we take it all down. I do love the clean slate that it always leaves in it’s wake. It’s fresh and perfect for the new year. In an effort to dump the after Christmas blues, I set an indigo inspired table {funny that I am ditching the blues with blue}. I love how yellow plays off of the beautiful hue and the tulips I found at Trader Joes are like a breath of fresh air. Much needed. I picked up the pretty yellow napkins and runner from HomeGoods. Everything else was somewhere in my home. I spotted this pretty blue collection recently when shopping.
The pretty blue glasses and yellow dish were wedding gifts over ten years ago. While I stick to mostly white serving pieces and dishes around here, a few are worth holding on to.

I also shopped my own home for other blue accents to set in the dining room. It ties it all together and creates a space that makes sense.

I borrowed the pillow with the indigo spots from our family playroom! It works well on the bench next to our table. I pull up this bench when Grammy and Papa come over or when friends pop in for a play date. It instantly allows us to seat six at the table.
I always enjoy setting a new table. I especially like the view when walking down the stairs.
I am feeling much better now that the house is getting cleaned {I spent hours cleaning yesterday} and our new table is set. It’s a nice contrast from our traditional Christmas set up and just feels fresh and fun. A nice feel for a new year. What about you? Have you enjoyed the clean slate after putting away your décor? Have you had the after Christmas blues? Hoping this cheery table and tulips brighten your day. And to all of you who have endured such a cold winter . . . warm hugs. I hear warmer temps are coming your way by the weekend. Fingers crossed.
So pretty! I don't know why, but I've always associated January with the color blue. So this table seems very fitting in my opinion 🙂
I think the table is beautiful. Yellow and blue is a favorite combo of mine. In fact my dishes are white and blue with a little touch of yellow. I would love to find some napkins like you used. They would be perfect. I'm going to check our Home Goods today!
My bathroom is in the same color combo!
Any one of my (other) favorite bloggers, Kiki's List, just did a post yesterday about decorating with blue.

I sorry, I just reread and saw Home Goods.
So pretty! I love that blue color. And I still kind of want to cry I love your chandelier so much : ) I was just thinking I need to get my dining room table spruced up for the winter… maybe a punch of blue is what I need!
Beautiful Courtney. For many years I had a blue and yellow kitchen and loved it. Always made me smile.
