Joy & Revelry White Box Challenge

June 6, 2013 by Courtney 11 Comments

I am super excited to introduce you to my blog friend, Courtney’s, latest adventure. Courtney Lake is one of the oh so talented designers launching Joy & Revelry. Courtney is one of the six style/social media mavens chosen to curate beautiful  furnishings and accessories for their own virtual storefronts featured on the site. Other designers included in this venture are Paloma Contreras, Bryn Alexandra, and Rue Magazine. Within the curated collections, the designers explain exactly why they chose the items they did, and help give you ideas on how to stylishly use them in your home. I also love that you can watch a short video clip from each designer. For this white box challenge, I was sent a piece from Courtney Lake’s collection. IMG_1420   While you could easily and beautifully use this bowl as just a piece of artwork {as Cassie did}, I immediately saw it as a new home for my orchid. I had just picked one up from Trader Joe’s and knew I had a perfect spot for this pretty piece. IMG_1376   With the addition of some Spanish moss, I simply styled the bowl in a vignette in our living room. I like the bit of glam that the bowl has in contrast with the rustic table. IMG_1414     ……………………..rustic + glam   IMG_1398 IMG_1399   IMG_1401IMG_1402   … You can also head over to Cassie’s blog and Erika’s blog to see how they styled this same piece! Apparently, Erika and I were on the same page!  I love it. And thanks to Joy & Revelry, you all are getting hooked up with a coupon code. So fun to go check out the different collections! Use code COL_WHITEBOX_10 for 10% off your total purchase, from any of the storefronts, until August 1, 2013. …. … happy shopping! … …   And happy birthday to my  sweet mom! I love you so very much. Looking forward to spending time with you today.

I love, love, love this bowl! I think I might have said the same thing when Cassie styled hers. 🙂 I probably wouldn't have thought to put a plant in it, but what a great idea! Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the orchid in the bowl. However, I am terrible at keeping them alive!

Thank you Courtney! I love orchids — now that I have seen it styled twice with an orchid, I sorta can't imagine it NOT having one!
