So the outside wreaths and lights are up, the tree is trimmed, and the house is beginning to sparkle with Christmas décor. I am in love with this time of year. Especially because my two little ones are overjoyed with even the tiniest of decorations. My daughter decorated her all pink Christmas tree and “re-decorates” it everyday. So I went back and forth with my color scheme for way too long when I looked over to our sideboard and noticed my cableknit bowl. I had tossed the gold pumpkins from Thanksgiving in with my green apples. Great combination. So the dining area has been hit with some lime green, gold and cream. Here is a little peak. There is the bowl that gave my my color inspiration. Pure accident, but really liked the combo. So I was off to HomeGoods to pick up a few lime green accents.
Green tree was a $10 HomeGoods find.
Have you seen the candle collection at HomeGoods this season? It’s amazing. Really gorgeous shapes, colors, and sparkles.
I also found a group of these three great ornaments. I slipped some cream satin ribbon through them. They look pretty on the silver tray, but I would love to hang them from the ribbon. Just haven’t decided on a spot yet. So here they rest!
I also found these lime green beaded apples. They were only $6.00 and add some color to the bowl of silver ornaments.
I used this ribbon on our tree this year. I used some extra pieces to wrap around our candles. I love it because they sparkle and look pretty even when they are not on. This grouping of flameless candles sits in our fireplace {with our little ones we have yet to use the fireplace or real candles . . . I am just too nervous. Maybe next year!}
Have you begun the decorating process? I love watching the house transform. It just feels so festive and special this time of year. Hop on over to Rhoda’s Southern Hospitality Christmas Vignette party to check out some great holiday spaces. On another note, I am super excited about introducing my Holiday Haven series this week. You will be hearing from some amazing women, who happen to be my favorite bloggers, and what they do to maintain some peace and sanity around the holidays. Be sure to pop in on Thursday when it begins!
I love the colors Courtney! It's funny, I too pulled out my green apples yesterday. I had changed out my tray for Christmas, and when looking at the paper realized that the apple green was the pop of color I was looking for! Can't wait to hear everyone's ideas Thursday.
Oh Courtney. Your home looks so pretty with all of its sparkle. Makes me want to get busy and do the same thing. Thanks for including me in the series.
