So I finally caved and gave into the pleas for an all pink bedroom. My four year old is head over heels in love with pink so I couldn’t hold out any longer! I was soooooo afraid of it looking like a bubble gum room! Luckily I have a very patient husband who put up with a million trips to the paint store until we stumbled upon just the right one! The look on my daughter’s face when she saw her finished room was priceless. And it’s definitely a room that will grow with her. So despite my kicking and screaming to avoid a pink room, I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite spots in the house! To quote my daughter, “It’s pinkalicious!!!!”

What a sweet little room! My daughter's room is pink too. I am trying to tame it, as it is currently more pinkzilla than pinkalicious. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice. Her name on the wall is a great touch!

I love it! I'm always more worried about pink looking like Peptp-Bismol than bubble gum. 😐

WHere did you get the curtains?
Courtney says
What a sweet baby in that picture! So the curtains match a coverlet that's on the bed. I found them both at Marshalls. But here is the deal . . the curtains are actually two shower curtains (fabric ones of course). Such a great tip as you can divide one lengthwise (the flower curtain) and then add a trim at the bottom to lengthen. So I added the stripe shower curtain to the end. They already have holes at the top for shower rings so I was able to just slip my ribbon through them and tie to the rod. 🙂 Thanks for dropping by. I read your post on gas tank placement and it was cracking me up! SO TRUE!

Thanks! The baby in the picture is now almost two and will be getting a big girl room since #2 is on the way. I love the coordinating fabrics on the curtains, and to use shower curtains is such a great idea.
I just adore the room you designed! I bookmarked this page for my inspiration wall!

Found this from Remodelaholic! Love it! I also love her name in the frames on the wall. Where did you get it from, if you don't mind me asking? My favorite color is pink too, so I LOVE it!!
Courtney {a thoughtful place} says
Hi Chelsea! I made her name. I had the letters but didn't like the scale of them. So I painted them to coordinate {sanded for an aged look} and mounted them to the frames. I just put scrapbook paper over the glass instead of under it. Then I used the glue gun to attach the letters. Cheap and easy way to fill more space on a wall. So happy you found me!

Can you tell me what the paint color is please?
Gail @ Sophisticated Steps says
So, obviously this an older post, but I just found it, so it's new to me. 🙂 My 7 year old has a pink room (with chandelier), too. Very soft, not bubble-gummy. I did all the work myself…painted walls and furniture, sewed and monogrammed pillows and curtains, framed art, recovered and monogrammed stool, sprayed an old mirror and a $10 garage sale chandelier (looks like PB!). I love the outcome and so does she. Success!
Mind if I share? I posted it here: http://sophisticatedsteps.blogspot.com/2010/09/little-girl-sophisticated-room.html

The color we used was Dunn Edwards "Just Pink Enough" We ended up cutting it by 25% and we just love the shade.
