Lately I have been thinking about how I can start making a difference in small ways. My life is busy and hectic, and so much of the time is focused on what happens within the walls of my own home. Don’t get me wrong, that’s wonderful and so beneficial to my family, but I am challenging myself to “Make it Matter” every Monday. I am hoping to highlight something every once in a while that has the potential of making a difference to others. Even in a small way. Maybe just a little something I hadn’t thought of before. In the month of September, I lost two dear friends to cancer. Devastating. I know that so many of us are either touched by cancer personally or know someone who is. I came across these hot pink heels and they made me smile. Would I have gone out and purchased them just randomly? Maybe not. But I am a sucker for a great pair of heels and I plan to snatch these up and wear them in honor of the two friends I lost. Worn with a cute black dress . . . adorable. You can pick them up for $45 dollars on October 15th. Net proceeds go to breast cancer research. I love it. courtesy of www.latimes.com Here is the deal: Fergie designed this bright pink shoe. The “Hope” shoe will be available during the QVC presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” event. It takes place October 15. As I mentioned before, the net proceeds benefit breast cancer research. What do you think? Would love to hear your ideas or thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss Courtney. It is wonderful that you are doing your part to make a difference, it is really easy to only think of ourselves and our family and forget the greater good. Those shoes are really fun, and a great price too.

those shoes are gorgeous…but I'm so sorry about what led you to them. Cancer is devastating…unfortunately I know all too well also.
You will be so cute and sassy in those shoes, and your friends would love it!!

Well! I don't think you are the only woman who buys shoes as if my wardrobe won't be complete without these heels. The amount of times I have said to myself this pair is the last one I will buy until next year …and then I see a pair and can't walk away till O am holding the shoes in my hands. I am really sorry to hear about your friends April gone I too lost a close friend who was a victim of cancer and I know exactly how you felt. You are right ever since then I too look at hot pink and think of the horrible disease and my friend.
