I am constantly amazed at the inspiration that abounds in blog land. It really is amazing what talented people pull off each and every day. While I know there have been other milk and cookie themed parties, there is something about this baby shower that stopped me in my tracks. It is sweet, it is simple, it is perfection. Here is a little peek at what I fell in love with brought to you by Amy from: And by the way, I am suddenly obsessed with Amy’s blog. She is a Southern California girl as well with two precious little girls. And boy oh, boy does she have mad photography skills! Can you believe how cute this stroller is. Amy found it on Craigslist for just $20. They used it to hold the gifts. I am smitten with the idea of using a collection of white plates . . . they don’t need to match. It adds to the vintage charm of this darling party. The milk jugs were found at a local thrift store {don’t think I am not on the hunt for those now!} Amy and her friends joined forces and between all of the, whipped up 8 different types of cookies. And because I am in love with this party, I ran right out to find similar jars. Home Goods has a fantastic collection of these right now. All between $10-15. And not missing a detail, Amy created darling to-go bags for the guests to take some sweet treats home with them. Thank you to Amy for letting me share this fantastic party. Go check out Our Daily Obsessions for more darling ideas. ……………………………………………. I honestly just love this party. I think it’s appropriate for a simple children’s party, any type of shower, or even as a display table for any party you host . . . . this would make a killer dessert buffet. Like I said I already picked up some jars at Home Goods . . . now I am just trying to come up with a great excuse to throw a party. Actually thinking it might make a cute “Back to School Party” with Riley’s friends and mommies towards the end of summer. What do you think?

SUPER cute! What a different but simple theme for a baby shower! Love it. My friend did a milk/pie themed dessert table at her backyard wedding, it was really cool with vintage milk bottles like that.
Heyyyy want to get drinks soon? Like, um, maybe exactly a WEEK from TODAY??!

How cute, and ironic, too. Another of my favorite blogs posted this morning about a cookies and milk girl shower:

It's all so simple and yet it is just the cutest thing ever! It's amazing how some nice glassware can turn something so simple (like cookies) into a gourmet spread! And the detail that I have been seeing a LOT and I'm completely adoring are the striped straws…small little detail, BIG impact! (c: Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you so much for the feature. You are so sweet. I'm totally going to Home Goods and buying more! (mine were from Ross, but one lid broke so I'm really hoping to find one that fits) By the way, I'm loving your blog!

That is a darling party! Every detail is adorable. My mouth is watering for one of those white chocolate chip cookies. I remember my parents serving wine at their dinner parties growing up out of those milk jugs. They used them as a wine decanter. I'm off to check out Amy's blog.

I am definitely going over to check out Our Daily Obsessions. The party idea is wonderful, but as you said, could be adapted to any type party. Also just read your post about your magazine obsession, and was nodding in agreement every step of the way. I just spent about an hour yesterday doing "Change of Address" info for ALL of mine and The Man's magazines. I have way more than he does, & he will toss his after awhile, but I just can't. I think so many of the magazines that cater to women these days, are meant to be "keepers" and "at-the-ready" for reference and inspiration. I do need a few more holders, so I'll have to check out the "toll booth" at Target!
