Good morning. I hope you’re Monday started out on the right foot. Not much of a weekend to speak about over here as I have been hit by something and am down for the count. Taking it as a sign to slow down and rest. You know you feel pretty darn awful when you see laundry piling up and you couldn’t care less. Actually, my husband has been really great about jumping in and kept the children busy most of the weekend.
AROUND TOWN
He took the kids to a local football game on Friday and he sent me this picture of the sky. So gorgeous. The kiddos loved running on to the field and being a part of this event.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST
Fairly certain that while dad was making pancakes my son was asleep on the island. He was still wiped out from the night before!
AROUND THE HOUSE
Meanwhile, I have been on the sofa or in bed for three days. The strangest thing is that when I am not feeling well I LOVE watching the cooking channel. Go figure. So Pioneer Woman is on as much as possible. I love her calming demeanor. It’s also a bonus that my family benefits from any new recipes I find. Although let’s be honest. I rarely make the yummy things I see.
I also dug out my leg warmers. I love wearing them when I am stuck in the house. I am not much of a slipper girl because my feet get too warm so these are perfect. Also great to get caught up on my magazine reading. I adore Serena & Lily and wish everything in print would come to life in my own home.
Thank you to my family for the pretty flowers. There is something about tulips that always brighten a room.
TWINNING
This made me smile. I happen to LOVE Zooey Deschanel. When we were watching New Girl the other night I squealed because she was wearing my buffalo check shirt. I think we could be best friends. Ok, I’m just kidding, but I like her taste in shirts (or at least the costume department’s taste in shirts)!
