Good morning! Are you ready for the week? It seemed to come around really quickly for us. We have lots of rain coming down and there is something about dark skies and a rain storm that make me want to stay home and be productive. I’ve been chipping away at little organizational projects around the house. Nothing too major but it feels good to get squared away. As for our weekend, it was all about sports. Here is our Monday Morning Wrap-Up.
Hats off to this little girl. Opening day for softball happened this past weekend so we spent most of Saturday at the fields. It was so much fun for the girls to kick off the season and they did great in their game. She even showed up for a pitching clinic on Super Bowl Sunday. Love her dedication. Mix in baseball practice for my son and it was a ball field couple of days. No complaints here as anytime I get to sit out in the fresh air and cheer my babies on, I am good. Let’s just say any major house projects have come to a screeching halt for the season, though. They will resume this summer! Maybe.
By the way, these sneakers are restocked but not in my size. Ugh. When they sold out I was so bummed and took it as a sign. I’m stalking them now.
We headed to my sister’s beautiful home following softball to watch the big game. I made these dipped strawberries as well as some football brownies. But let’s be honest. Those laces don’t look like they do on Pinterest. I seriously have no clue how people ice things so perfectly. Mine were a bit of a hot mess but big picture here. . . the overall look is a football, right?! Perhaps.
My sister never ceases to amaze. She had an amazing table setup. The football field complete with each team’s names in the end zones. So well done. The football was a gift to my nephew from my brother so it was sweet to have a little piece of Tim at our party, too.
I will be the first to admit that my sister and I did more talking than football watching. Of course I did some house stalking. Her dining room is just so beautiful. I don’t know the sources for things but will ask her. I could sit and stare at that paneled wall all day long. So pretty.
Even though we are not jumping into projects right now, I am still dreaming of redoing our laundry room. I am enamored with this laundry room designed by Cynthia Soda from Soda Pop Design, Inc. Like, wow!!!!! You can catch Cynthia’s tips here.
Wanted to share this pretty bouquet of tulips with you this morning. The rain is coming down but they are standing straight up ready for the week. There is something so magical about these flowers. My favorite. So how about it? Shoulders back, head held high . . . let’s do this Monday! Let’s do this.
