Anyone else have a really lazy weekend? We are in a bit of a heat wave right now and it makes it so hard to be motivated and productive. Looks like the high temps are sticking around for a bit. Makes for very hot sporting events for the kiddos. Hoping Fall finds us sooner than later. I bit all over the map for this week’s Monday Morning Wrap-Up.
We all stayed in on Friday night and enjoyed some quite family time. Saturday night found us at a fundraiser for a cause very near and dear to our hearts. It was nice to get dressed up and spend time with this guy. He’s a pretty fun date and I am very thankful to have him in my life. My dress is currently 50% off a an all-time favorite.
I mentioned the temps are sky high so after our daughter’s softball game we hit the pool. These two are the best of friends (most of the time) and we had to drag them out of the pool.
If you follow along over on Instagram, you may have seen this. So thankful for all of that natural light but very much hoping Fall shows up soon! I have had many questions about this rug. It was a lucky HomeGoods find. They have had amazing rugs lately so if you are in the market for one you may want to take a look if you have a store close to you. The white chairs can be found here.
In the kitchen, we weren’t up for a huge meal last night so we kept it super simple. We had everything we need for a fresh salad and meatballs frozen in the fridge. I threw a sauce together and everyone was happy so I thought I would share. It would be great on any type of meatball.
Served these with a kale and spinach salad and called it a day. Just enough to fill everyone’s tummies. Whenever they family cleans their plates I figure it’s worth sharing.
Meatball Sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- dash of salt and pepper
Mix on all ingredients and heat on the stove top until hot. Serve over meatballs or on the side as a dipping sauce.
Lastly, I have been working on our guest room and can’t wait to show you tomorrow. Be sure to pop back over to see the reveal.
Let’s do this Monday!!! Sending you a virtual high five to make it a good day.

The meatball sauce sounds delicious. I will definitely be making that. I’m guessing the mesquite honey has a smoky flavor. Is that right? I was at TJ’s today.
