Monday Morning Wrap Up

Good morning. I’m enjoying a cup of coffee and an overcast start to the day. How was your weekend? Are you getting into a good summer routine yet? We will be working on that this week. Although I have a feeling that these next two months will fly if this past year is any indication of how quickly time passes. Here is a peek at what we have been up to with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

LAKE NORMAN, NORTH CAROLINA

We started off the summer with a getaway to Knoxville and North Carolina. We have always done a lake trip with dear friends every summer. Our trips were always to Big Bear Lake where we created some of our very best memories. With all of the children grown, we thought it would be fun to venture to a new spot so we all reunited in North Carolina. It was an incredible week and I’ll be sharing more details on both Knoxville and Lake Norman in upcoming posts. And to my readers who reached out to say you live on or near this lake, boy am I envious. What a beautiful part of the country.

QUALITY TIME

There is nothing better than being with lifelong friends who feel like family. We spent hours around this fire and clocked a million more out on the boat. It’s time well spent when your cheeks literally hurt from laughing.

ALMOST 20 YEARS

Our twentieth wedding anniversary is right around the corner. It’s crazy how quickly time has gone and yet when I think about all of the life we have lived and what we have been through as a team, it sure seems like a lifetime. I’m so grateful and loved exploring a new area with this man.

My jeans are so comfy and have been on repeat since I bought them for a concert. The Beek sandals get better every year (my style is no longer sold, but these are very popular . . . fantastic arch support). And I lived in these jeans shorts during the day.

This trip definitely made us want to be out on the water more. It is just so magical.

HOME SWEET HOME

And while traveling is so fun and we savored every single second with our friends, it’s always nice to return home. We have been really lucky with temperatures lately and are appreciating every moment before the humidity sets in. How is the weather where you are?

COMFY SNEAKERS YOU ALL LOVE

I mentioned these cute sneakers on Instastories and was flooded with messages about you all loving them, too. I grabbed a pair for the lake and had no idea what I was buying. They are SO GOOD.
