Good morning! This weekend was a full one and flew by in the blink of an eye. Not sure how time continues to fly at unbelievable rates. Wishing it would slow down but learning that it’s not going to. A bit all over the map with this week’s Monday Morning Wrap-Up.
DRESS UP DAY
Do you all celebrate Dr. Seuss day at your schools, too? If so you’ll recognize these “Thing” labels. My daughter and her friends decided last minute to throw costumes together and they turned out darling. Thanks to a little felt and the willingness to hit Party City by anther mom, the girls spent their last Dr. Seuss day of their elementary career in style. Treasuring these days for sure.
MOUNTAIN TRIP
Last week we snuck up to Mammoth. It’s about 5 1/2 hours from our home so it was quite the trek but so worth it. There was a ton of snow and I will recap the trip soon. These two loved seeing the snowfall and running around in it. They also did so well on the slopes despite the 15 degree temperature.
After a FULL day of skiing we enjoyed a tired but wonderful dinner as a family. I am constantly reminding myself that these are the days we will remember. It was made even more special when a dear friend of ours happen to be on business in Mammoth and was able to pop into this restaurant for a bit. Small world, indeed. And if you are looking for cute ski pants (which are difficult to find) look no further! My girlfriend lent me hers and I ended up ordering a pair here.
ON THE FIELD
Most of our weekend was spent on the field. This kid rocked the heck out of his game. While he isn’t fond of his purple uniform, he sure does love playing. It’s fun to watch him progress and we are seriously so lucky to have such a great group of boys and parents. It’s a joy to be at the field.
And this sweet girl faces her fears each time she gets up to bat. So proud of her bravery and her desire to be on a team. My husband and I have never been the type of parents to push our kids into becoming star athletes. We just want them to be well-rounded and confident. When they are adults, we love the idea of them being able to play any type of pick-up sports with their friends. So much fun to be had in the coming years.
WHAT I’M READING
Have you read this? I so excited. I just started diving in and she is an amazing writer. I had heard about it from so many people that it was finally time to order a copy for myself. I am about to hop on a plane and plan to read this for the entire trip. Keep you posted on my thoughts.
TRAVEL TIME
Speaking of the trip, I am taking these cozy items for lounging around. You know I love these pants and the t-shirts are equally as soft. Can’t be the $20 price tag. I also love this striped bag. It has been a travel staple for years.
I’m off for a quick trip to see one of my dearest friends! I can hardly wait! And I have a fun look to show you tomorrow so I hope you’ll pop back in.
Let’s do this, Monday!!!
