Monday Morning Wrap Up

Good morning. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. Our children had the week off and it was glorious. So nice to slow down and have a break from the stressors of school. In fact, we adjusted so well it was hard to get moving this morning. We are in that stage over here where the house is mostly decorated but I’ve walked away from most rooms unfinished. Can anyone relate? Slowly but surely. Here is our Monday Morning Wrap up with scenes from life lately.

TOGETHER WITH FRAMILY

On Thanksgiving we gathered with Framily. We are fortunate to have met some wonderful friends since moving to Tennessee and we spent another Thanksgiving together. It’s never the same without my sister’s family but so grateful to be with dear friends. I was blown away by the “kids table.” And by kids I mean anyone under 30. That’s how old we are all getting! My friend used brown paper and every place setting had a darling saying. Great idea to steal for next year.

I brought charcuterie and have found that when I take it to another house, it’s far easier to divide it into two trays. It’s not only easier to transport, but then the host can put them in two different places if need be. When you have 20 people it’s nice to have the flexibility. We use this handled tray all the time.

DATE NIGHT

We snuck away for a date night during the holiday week and tried out the new speak easy in downtown Franklin. If you are local or visiting, it’s called Amendment XVIII Cocktail Club and it’s really fun. Great cocktails/mocktails and little bites. By the way, most of my bracelets are E Newton but I pair them with this $6 set for a bigger stack. Could be a fun stocking stuffer idea. Sure, they won’t last forever but they sure are cute.

SHOP SMALL

We also headed out on Saturday to shop local and support our small businesses. Love Storehouse No. 9. They have gorgeous pieces and so many great gift ideas. I am in love with those flat white Christmas trees.

Another fun spot is Onyx + Alabaster. They offer design services and have a cozy coffee shop attached to their store. It’s off the round about on Main Street so be sure to check it out.

QUALITY TIME

It was so nice to just walk up and down Main Street and enjoy the crisp air. So grateful for this man. And I think his Travis Mathew quarter zips are still on sale (he lives in them). My Quay sunglasses are BOGO today.

HOLIDAY TOUCHES

We are very slowly getting things decorated. I bought these trees last year and LOVE them. In fact we kept them up through January. They come individually or as a set of there. I really only use the two larger ones. For the one in the basket, I took the base off and stuck the trunk in green oasis (I still need to add moss). The other one is still on its base since you can’t see it behind the chair. The trees also come in white which is gorgeous.
