I hope you had a wonderful weekend. For all of the kiddos heading into exam week, I hope it’s as smooth as possible. I know my kids are counting down the hours until break. So ready to relax and enjoy holiday time together. Here is life lately with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
DOWNTOWN FRANKLIN
I spent some time in downtown Franklin this past week. One of my favorite things to do is Christmas shop by myself and just stroll from store to store. Each storefront looks so beautiful and I love hearing the holiday music pour out of each one. If you are ever this way, definitely stop into Hester & Cook. Especially if you love to entertain.
White’s Mercantile is another favorite and so beautiful this time of year And they always have someone out front making festive holiday coffee drinks. What about you? Do you like to shop alone or always with friends/family?
FESTIVE IDEAS FOR PARTIES
On Saturday night a few of us gathered to support a friend and her holiday movie that came out. Everyone brought a fun board and they all turned out so cute. This was a beautifully done charcuterie board. Love the addition of the cherries and they were a big hit with the kids at the party.
ORNAMENT COCKTAIL/MOCKTAIL
These mocktails were darling!! The rosemary in the straw was such a great idea. Fun way to serve any drink this time of year.
SNOW GLOBE CUPCAKES
I brought these snow globe cupcakes I had seen someone make. Really fun and the possibilities are endless. I’ll share a tutorial on Wednesday in case you might want to make them soon.
GO-TO NEUTRAL
I can’t remember the last time I had my nails done but treated myself this past week. Here is what I ask for in case you also love a barely there pink/neutral. The bracelets are a mixture of e newton and this $6 stack from here.
My sunglasses are tried and true. Love them so much. Also love this new pair I purchased. They are currently buy one, get one free.

MY HEART
Last night I was making gingerbread cookies (to hang on our tree) and when I turned around to check my recipe, this was on my laptop. Sweetest gesture from my son. It really is the little things, isn’t it?
Many of you know that Nashville and nearby towns were hit incredibly hard by powerful storms and tornadoes this past weekend. It was truly devastating for so many families. Thank you to everyone who reached out. It meant so much to us. We were just fine. Not only did families lose loved ones and their homes, but so many are without power and it’s very very cold here. If you are local and wanting to help, I will keep you posted via my Instastories.
Life is short and precious. Let’s go into these next couple of weeks with gratitude and less of the chaos. Thanks for being here, my friend.

I prefer to shop alone. It is not that I don’t enjoy being friends it’s just I find more enjoyment by myself. At my own pace and not feel pressured with a peer

A son truly melts a mom’s heart.
