Good morning! It’s great to be back. I took some time to be with family and easy into the new year. I hope you all had a wonderful start to 2024. As a mom of a senior, I am shocked we are already in the second semester. Time is rushing by and it’s so hard. We just hosted my daughter’s friends and parents for photos before their dance on Saturday and I wish we could do it all again. Definitely savoring the moments. Here is a bit of life lately with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
It was so lovely to walk into Trader Joes and see these beautiful blooms. Nothing better than a rainbow of fresh flowers. We took our time taking Christmas decor down. It just felt nice keeping it up a bit longer but I am fully appreciating the clean slate now. After cleaning the house and mopping the floors I treated myself to pretty hydrangeas.
ROAD TRIP
We did squeeze in a road trip over the break which was really fun. I’ll take any time I can get with this one. Next up I am trying to convince him to head to Rosemary Beach with me. I went with friends back in October and fell in love with it (I still need to do a recap). Although with travel hockey in the mix, a free weekend is hard to come by.
5 STAR TARGET FINDS
I shared these 5 Star Target Finds on stories but wanted to share here in case you missed it. I hadn’t walked around Target in forever but did find these three which I fell in love with. All three found spots in my home and I highly recommend them. All of them are great if you are styling shelves, too. I am smitten with the frame that stands up right. I just love the look as an alternative to a traditional slanted frame. Someone reached out and said it would be perfect to display a drink or dinner menu when entertaining and I thought that was brilliant.
- marble tray – we have ours by the stovetop and love it
- picture frame $15 – framed our Christmas card famiy photo and have it in our dining room area
- vase – this is on our coffee table in the living room, great texture and shape, a really good vase
MARBLE TRAY
Here is a look at the marble tray in our kitchen. This area looked so messy with what I had before. It’s nice to have all of our salts/peppers in one spot for when we cook. The three marble pinch pots were a gift from a friend from Storehouse No. 9 (local store) but I found a similar one here. The larger salt bowl is from here and the pepper grinder is from Amazon.
BEDDING SALE
A heads up that our duvet and cozy throw are both 25% off. The throw is incredibly soft and looks high end. It’s currently under $40. The tufted bed is from Costco many moons ago.
FAVORITE FRIDGE BINS
Our fridge became a disaster during the holidays. It felt so great to literally empty it, clean all of the shelves and start fresh. We have been using these bins for about four years now and love them. I have four lined up on one shelf and the keep us so organized. I also just added two of these lazy Susan trays and can’t believe I went so long without them. No more lost and forgotten items in the back of the fridge.
ANGEL WING SUNRISE
I had to share this amazing sunrise with you. When I woke up our living room looked pink. I went out to see what looked like a set of angel wings lit up in the sky. Absolutely beautiful and a welcome Godwink.
Wishing you a really wonderful start to your week.
