Good morning. This was the first weekend we didn’t have a travel hockey tournament in forever so it was wonderful to have my boys home. AAA hockey is no joke when it comes to the time commitment and I always love when we can savor the family time. Can you believe it’s almost March? Didn’t this year just start? Honestly, it’s going by way too quickly for my liking but what can you do. Here is a snippet of life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
MONDAY WRAP UP
Well, it only took my two and a half years to try Puffy Muffin. Fun spot in Brentwood for breakfast and lunch. They have amazing baked goods, too. It was so nice to meet up with a friend and fellow business owner and talk all things life and business. I am always inspired by women who are movers and shakers and doing good in the world.
DATE NIGHT
My husband and I hit up Bestia Mare in Downtown Franklin on Friday. It’s fantastic and a place we love going. Be sure to make a reservation, though.
This little corner spot brings back such great memories because when my dear friends from California came to visit, this is where we sat for dinner. If you are making a visit, put this on your list.
SO MUCH PROGRESS
In basement news, we are making so much progress!!! I am saving it all in a highlight on Instagram if you want to follow along in real time. On Saturday both my husband I removed cabinets. Then following day I was down for the count (under the weather) so he was a boss. I can’t believe how much he accomplished. If you are local and know of anyone who can help us clear this all out, please send me a message.
Of course this wasn’t without some hiccups. Managed to break a water line and had water spraying everywhere. Luckily the water shut off for the home was nearby (I of course panicked, though). Thanks to a plumber and $350 we are back in action. Renovations are always full of surprises!
LONGER DAYS
And while my husband was working hard in the basement, I was doing a lot of this. It makes me crazy to be in bed but choosing to listen to my body. I will say that these longer days are so amazing. I love that light is still streaming in after 5:00 PM. Bring on Spring!!!!
YOUR WEEKEND FAVORITES
It’s always fun to see what resonates with all of you and these were pieces you all loved.
- bow top – can’t wait for this to arrive
- sandals – great shape for spring and summer
- linen top – just darn cute
- jacket – top seller and great longer length
- handbag – so fun for warmer months
- wide legged pants – my go to (daughter loves them, too)
SUCH A GREAT PRICE
This dough bowl is my pick of the week. It’s $15 and darn cute. I plan to put mine on our island with fruit (pears seem to take forever to ripen so they will go in here). I love the scallops and the price.
Saturday Shopping was a fun one this week. In it, I asked about saunas and loved getting your feedback. If you have one and want to share your experience in this post I would so appreciate it.
If you are new here, I send out a newsletter once a week (Thursday evening). I open up a bit more about the good stuff in life and share from the heart. I also share updates, words of wisdom I find, and a recipe we are loving. I love hearing from readers about topics I cover in the newsletter and it has been a nice way to build community in what can seem like a disconnected world. Have a wonderful Monday.
