Good morning. We have beautiful blue skies today and the sun is shining so it’s a great way to start the week. The weekend was a whirlwind (more on that below) and I can hardly believe it’s already Monday. I hope you had a really nice weekend. Here is what we’ve been up to with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
SIGNS OF SPRING
These trees are starting to explode with their pink blooms and it’s the best sight ever! I love seeing these signs of Spring. It is most certainly appreciated after winter. Are things beginning to bloom where you are?
LOCAL COFFEE SPOT
Local friends, there is a darling coffee shop in Nolensville called Monamie. The decor is adorable and it’s a nice spot to meet up with a friend or get some work done. I love supporting the local small businesses. And kudos to whoever designed this spot. It’s so charming.
EASY WEEKNIGHT DINNER
Wanted to share one of our easy go-to meals: Caesar Salad bar. I always have chicken on hand (we make it a couple of times a week) so this is easy to throw together. We just do Romaine lettuce, avocado (not shown), Caesar dressing, and homemade croutons (takes about 15 minutes to bake in the oven but store bought are great, too). I usually keep frozen shrimp on hand. I marinade it for about two hours in the fridge prior to cooking. Here is what I use for the marinade:
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- heathy squirt of sriracha
- drizzle of honey
Having two proteins means everybody gets what they like!
THRIVE MARKET
It’s always a happy day when the Thrive Market box arrives. I didn’t need much this time but stocked up on our electrolytes (we all love and use daily), snacks for lunches and soups. And my daughter loves Purely Elizabeth oatmeal in the morning. Thrive will price match (but almost always has the lowest prices) and it comes straight to your door. I save money because of their prices plus I am not throwing random things into my cart as I walk up and down the aisles. This link will save you 40% on your first order. We have been using them for a couple of years now and LOVE.
THIS IS A GOOD ONE
I ordered this rug and ended up not using it so it will go back but I wanted to share because it’s really good. It’s inexpensive and the colors are gorgeous. They are exactly as shown here and the rug is so soft. It is washable which means it will spot clean really well. The rug is thin so you would want to use a pad under it if you have wood floors. I am really sad to send it back. This color is called: vintage grey taupe
TOP SECRET PROJECT
lamp | frame | artwork | lamp shade
And while my boys were traveling for hockey I was working on a top secret project for my husband. I didn’t take any photos of the process (so caught up in getting it done) but I will share the after soon. It was a huge surprise and it’s safe to say I am completely exhausted this morning.
