Good morning. How was your weekend? Spring ahead certainly makes waking up on Monday a bit more difficult, but I am thrilled that spring is upon us. Things are starting to bloom, grass is getting greener, and the nights will be longer. Yes, to all of that. Our past few days were a whirlwind but thankful to have made it all happen.
TRAVELING DUO
These two headed out for another hockey trip (have been gone pretty much every weekend). Crazy to think our son was 9 when he started and now at 15 he is just about taller than my husband. Time flies and I am so grateful for the quality time these two share with the hockey weekends.
I was able to hop on a plane and make it out to Charlotte to cheer on my boy. It was a turnaround trip for me as I needed to be back for my daughter’s schedule, but it sure was fun to join my boys. And Charlotte, you are so pretty! (Also why I wasn’t able to send out a newsletter this past week).
LOVE THIS FIND
With temps warming up, I have entertaining on my mind and this wine chiller is the BEST! I use it any time we have friends over to keep white wine or sparkling water cold. It works for hours. All you do is keep the hockey puck shaped disc in the freezer so it’s ready to use at a moment’s notice. This is a must have and a fantastic gift idea. Truly have gotten so much use out of this. I have even taken it outside during the warm months and it has done great. Thinking about ordering this condiment cooler which would allow me to keep drink additions (cucumber, lime, berries, etc) cool. Very clever design. It is on sale and has outstanding reviews.
IF YOU GIVE A PIG A PANCAKE
Are you familiar with the book, If you Give a Pig a Pancake? One thing leads to another with DIY projects. Our basement project, which is in full swing, also effects this mudroom space. It is in between our garage and the basement. We will be taking out the tile so that all of the flooring matches. This closet has been a dumping ground since the day we moved in. We threw things in here when we didn’t know what to do with them. It’s now cleared out and my husband is installing two shelves and a rod so it will be much more efficient.
*Shared our basement mood board here.
HOSTING EASTER?
Are you hosting Easter this year? It certainly has snuck up on us. We are not, but I will still set a table for our Easter breakfast. These napkins with eggs were a fun addition if you are looking to add something to your table. And the purple was a pretty addition to an otherwise neutral setting. To make the bunny years, fold the napkin corner to corner, roll and then tie with twine around the egg.
My tablecloth is no longer sold, but this gingham one is a nice neutral to build upon.
WEEKEND FINDS
If you missed Saturday Shopping, you can check it out here. I think this outfit is so cute. Love the striped jacket (best seller) and the cuffed denim.
And that’s a wrap on this beautiful Monday morning. If this is your spring break, I hope you are doing something special or enjoying the time off from a schedule.
