Good morning. Rolling out of bed and getting the kids off to school after spring break was a shock to the system. But thankful for blue skies and a return to the routine. Something tells me the next nine weeks are going to fly by so trying to appreciate every moment. Here’s a look back with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
SPRING IS HERE
Spring is my absolute favorite time in Tennessee (with Fall being a close second). There is something about watching everything begin to bloom that is just good for the soul. We’ve had beautiful weather and so grateful for that. We have all of our birthdays plus graduation in the next couple of months so Spring will be a busy season for us, that’s for sure.
TASTE TESTING
Do you have a Jeni’s Ice Cream near you? We went the other day and I tried the Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. SO GOOD. I am usually a coffee ice cream girl so it takes a lot for me to switch it up. I am a salty/savory over sweet girl most of the time, but there is something about Jeni’s that I just can’t pass up. If you are ever visiting this area, the Franklin location is really fun with a large grass area for the kids to run around. (Denim linked here)
ST. PATRICK’S DAY FAMILY DINNER
St. Patrick’s Day is a bittersweet day for us. I grew up with an Irish mom who LOVED everything about the holiday. In fact the shamrocks on the table were hand sewn by her. It also marks the day my dad went to heaven. It’s comforting to honor both of them on the 17th and enjoy time with our family.
This year I picked up the green satin ribbon and striped fabric and Hobby Lobby. It will be nice to reuse each year. Ribbon is such an easy way to add color to a table. Plus it’s easy to store and not expensive.
FRONT DOOR REFRESH
Do you have wood front doors? If so, you may notice that the wood has seen better days or gets dried out. If your house is East facing you will definitely notice this. Every few months we give it a refresh and it brings it back to life. So happy we discovered this. We also brought out the spring wreaths and Bougainvillea. While I wish it were real, we use the faux trees until our yard comes back to life. It takes a minute after winter and this splash of color helps things look and feel pretty for spring. Everything is linked here.
WHAT WE USE
I’m really grateful we discovered this sunshield. We just rub it in with a rag and then wipe away the excess. It takes maybe ten minutes and makes a huge difference. Highly recommend. And the cloths are what I use to shine the glass (no cleaner necessary). Both linked here.
WEEKEND FAVORITES
These were the reader favorites from this week’s Saturday Shopping post (see the full post here).
- athletic dress
- striped sweater
- handbag (love this so much)
- pink dress
- lounge outfit
- denim shorts (these are great)
It’s time to break out the calendar and be sure I have down all of the important dates for the last two months of school. If you have/had a senior you know just how many dates there are to keep track of. Mondays are also my day to meal plan, grocery shop and get the blog squared away for the week. Whatever your day holds, I hope it’s a good one. Appreciate you being here.
