Good morning! We are in full birthday prep over here as our daughter turns 18 in two days. That hits hard and is making me far more emotional than I had anticipated. We can’t wait to celebrate her and welcome this new chapter. This past week was a whirlwind including an out of town getaway for my husband and me. Here is a look back with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
QUICK GETAWAY
The sound of the water and the feel of the sand. I didn’t realize just how much I had missed it and what a part of me it is. Having grown up by the ocean, I’ve definitely missed the water. My husband and I snuck away for a couple of days to Florida and it was heavenly. We had picture perfect weather and the 30A area is dreamy.
This view is just so beautiful. We are fortunate that this is an hour plane ride from Nashville. While we can also drive, for a quick trip, flying makes sense. It was really nice to decompress amidst all of the big milestones we have going on over the next two months. Time to reflect and be grateful.
ROOFTOP SPOT
If you visit Rosemary Beach, be sure to head to Pescado. The rooftop has a beautiful view and it’s a great place to grab a cocktail and appetizers (delicious mocktails, too).
WHERE WE STAYED
Normally we love renting a townhome but for this last minute trip we booked the Camp Creek Inn and it was beautiful. It’s a new hotel and very well done. The colors throughout the hotel were so pretty. A week long vacation somewhere isn’t always necessary to feel like you truly got away. A couple of days to unwind and enjoy a change of scenery were so appreciated. And 30A, we absolutely love you and will be back soon.
CRANK UP THE COMPETITION
There’s a chance we are the last family on the planet to give pickleball a try but wow. Now I see what the fuss is all about. It’s so much fun! We ordered a half size net for our driveway and it’s been a blast. Great way to get some exercise and enjoy the sunshine. These two might be the most competitive people I know when they are together. It’s a riot but they sure do love playing each other. This net is similar to what we have and currently on sale.
And how soon is too soon to start buying cute pickleball gear? Asking for a friend.
THIS LITTLE LIGHT
I can’t quit this cordless lamp. I have one in my closet and now will be using one in our powder room. It’s so pretty and gives off the best glow. This is a five star Amazon find.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS
And these gorgeous blooms are worth sharing again. I can’t get over how realistic looking they are. The price ($36 for 4) is great and they come in four different colors. After receiving these, I ordered the white, too. I would love to have fresh hydrangeas all the time, but it’s not realistic and they can wilt so quickly (how to perk them up here). These are a slam dunk for me.
Heading into this week with such gratitude and praying we can stay in the moment as we celebrate our baby turning 18. Wishing you all a great start to the week.

Hello!
What is “30A” you are referring to in the Rosemary Beach post?
Thanks!

Hi! Great question as I only learned after moving to TN. It is a stretch of highway along the Gulf Coast in Florida with really charming beach towns. Beautiful water!
