Good morning! It may be Tuesday, but I thought it would still be fun to share our weekend wrap up. To be honest, I am still processing the weekend. Wow! Nothing prepares you for your first to graduate high school. It was a beautiful and full weekend and one that arrived with every possible emotion. Today I am a grateful exhausted. Have you ever felt that way? I am so happy that we can rest and it feels so nice to look back at such a beautiful weekend.
I get choked up every time I see this photo. We are so incredibly proud of our daughter. We moved across the country just before her sophomore year. She put herself out there and created a high school experience she loved. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and in the top of her class. But more than working hard and achieving her goals, she is kind, caring, insightful and a young woman of faith. It’s so hard to let go, but knowing that she is equipped to spread her wings makes us so proud. I love the young lady she has become and admire her steadfast work ethic and heart.

The best part of the weekend was having my sister and brother in law in town. It was wonderful to have them here for all of the festivities.
TOGETHER TIME
Both my brother in law and sister helped so much throughout the weekend. We had fun assembling the flower arrangements for the graduation party together. My mom was the queen of flower arranging so we always feel close to her when we do things like this.
GRADUATION PARTY
We threw a joint party in a local historic home in town. While it was a lot of planning and many moving parts, the day was magical. Despite some rain, the girls had the best time and we were blessed with sunshine for the last two hours. It was special to be surrounded by our closest friends and family.
GRAZING TABLE
We created a grazing table which I highly recommend for your next big event. So easy to roll out paper and you don’t need as many serving dishes. We used the tiered dishes for desserts. My amazon dish has been a go-to over the last couple of months.
TRUE FRIENDSHIP
These girls have been the best of friends and I am so grateful for their friendship. They cheer each other on and love spending time together. Creating this day for them was really so much fun.
MY GIRL
Each girl created a table with photos from over the years and things they are special to them. My daughter plans to be an English major and incorporated books from Grammy and Papa. Instead of a guestbook to sign, she asked each of her friends and family to highlight their favorite bible verse and write a note. This sweet girl is headed to Ole Miss next year and we couldn’t be happier for her. It’s true what they say. . . let them find a school that feels like home. She fell in love with Oxford and was accepted into the honors college. No matter what school we visited, nothing compared to how she felt at Ole Miss. I can’t wait to experience these next four years with her. And it’s only a four hour car ride so we are over the moon.
A HAPPY TIRED
Coffee hits a little different today. The house feels a bit empty and I am missing my sister. But incredibly grateful for the last few days. A complete whirlwind and roller coaster of emotions. If you are heading into graduation week, be sure to take the time to look around and soak it all in. So much magic amidst the chaos.
