Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend despite all the things that life keeps throwing our way. Between current events and friends going through really tough times, it has required a lot of prayer time for me. And a reminder that kindness and grace towards one another goes a very long way. I always love spending part of my Monday morning with you. Thank you for being here.
MAKE THE CALL
This cute little spot is one I have shared before. I am so inspired by the design here. Monamie Cafe is a wonderful spot in Nolensville. I grabbed an impromptu ice tea with girlfriends the other day. I am learning that last minute coffee dates are some of the best times together. I walked out of there feeling so grateful. These friendships are so dear to me and nurturing them becomes more and more important as time goes by. Missing a friend? Pick up the phone and say hello. It could change the trajectory of your day.
DOWNTOWN FRANKLIN
I often get asked about places to visit and Downtown Franklin is a must. It’s full of history and charm. White’s is a favorite and I can never pass up a chance to walk through Evereve. Definitely a great spot to spend an hour or two browsing shops and grabbing lunch or a sweet treat. Just be sure to make dinner reservations if you are planning to eat out. The restaurants book up quickly so do that in advance of your stay.
SUPRISINGLY DELICIOUS
I shared this with my newsletter group just the other day. Oh my goodness! It’s going to sound odd but it’s AMAZING. Mix 1 Tbsp of maple syrup with 1 Tbsp of olive oil. Stir until well blended. Add a dash of sea salt and drizzle over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So good! I don’t even have a sweet tooth but this one got me. Thank you to Nicole from Kale Junkie for the idea.
LULULEMON
My son and I popped into Lululemon the other day. I spotted these pants and thought they were darling. Love the pink color right now.
If you haven’t discovered these pants for teen boys yet, they are so good. My son LOVES the fit and feel. I rarely share boy things and these are a five star recommendation.
Summer date night look. My husband had gifted me a couple of pieces from Evereve for my birthday. The fit wasn’t quite right so I exchanged for these barrel pants. I have wanted to flirt with this trend without going nuts. These have just a hit of the barrel cut and fit really well. Definitely go down one size. I also saw them available here. This Target pant has a very similar look.
- barrel pants
- strapless top – great fit
- striped sweater – looks and feels like the J.Crew one, fraction of the price
- heels – love a good patent leather strappy heel
- clutch – been carrying this all summer long
NORDSTROM SALE
- bathrobe
- osea set – makes a great gift, I love their products
- towels
- osea lotion – great value
- salt and stone deodorant – what I use
- 3 piece pajama set – darn cute
- super soft pajamas – wash and dry beautifully
- our favorite throw – tried and true for years
- my only bra – no joke, the only bra I wear
The Nordstrom sale is open to all and I’ve shared my picks in this post. Nothing you can’t live without, but there are some definite savings on tried and true pieces I have and love (the only bra I wear being one). I did order these jammies for my daughter to take to school.
And these mules are a classic wardrobe addition. They are usually $125 but $79 during the sale. These never go out of style.
My to-do list is daunting today so I am hoping to hit the ground running and knock things out while the day is still young. Have a wonderful Monday.
