Good morning. Did you have a good weekend? Ours was really nice because both kids were around and we weren’t over-scheduled. We’ve been very intentional about our July calendar seeing as though both kids will be jumping into school very soon. Here is a bit of what we’ve been up to and a few fun finds in this week’s Monday Morning Wrap Up.
LIVE MUSIC, PLEASE
My husband I are all about date night and this week we hit up the Listening Room Cafe in Nashville. We love listening to the songwriters. Their stories are incredible and told with such heart. If you have ever heard ” ‘Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson you know how those lyrics lands. It was so fun to hear Matt Rogers (the talent who wrote the song) explain the history behind it all. If you are ever in town, we highly recommend a show here. We love the 6:00 show. It’s typically over by 7:30 and we are home by 8:00!
*My Nashville Travel Guide went live last week.
DATE NIGHT LOOK
I’ve been wearing this strapless top on repeat. It’s comfortable and easy for the warm summer nights. These jeans are another favorite (they run long). I just saw that they are on sale!!!! Ladies, they are so good and come in three washes. And I love this self tanner. I can put it on 30 minutes before going out and it gives me this color (and dries so fast).
GO TO SALAD OVER HERE
This salad is so great to have on hand and in the fridge. Because it’s kale, you can toss it with any dressing and it won’t get soggy. I serve it up with grilled chicken. Salad bowl from Walmart.
- kale (washed and massaged)
- two green onions chopped
- one cucumber chopped
- one diced red pepper
- dressing of choice
- add protein for a complete meal
SHOPPING DATE
Riley and I had so much fun shopping yesterday. She needed a couple more things for rush and some fun back to school pieces. It was tax free weekend in Tennessee which is always fun to take advantage of. I am savoring these mother daughter days. I’m so excited for her and this time in her life. She did end up getting this sports bra and adores it.
LOVE OF PAPER
Anyone else have a love affair with gift wrap? Maybe it’s because it was my very first job, but I love pretty paper. I could shop in here all day. Lately I’ve been loving printed tissue paper. So pretty in a plain white or tan tote when gift wrapping.
SO EASY TO WEAR
I have had this dress in green for years and am now wearing it in black. LOVE this dress. It’s easy and comfortable and a good Amazon find. I typically pair it with a denim jacket (loving this Walmart one lately which is on sale for $20).
In case you missed anything last week, you can get caught up her:
We have cloudy skies with drizzle so it’s a good day to knock things off of the to do list. A slow start to this Monday sounds good to me. Wishing you a great day.
