Morning. How was your weekend? Wanted to let you know that they company that usually pushes out my email notifications for new posts is no longer in business. I am trying to figure out the best option for a new one. I am still posting regularly to the blog, but you won’t be getting email notifications. I hope to get that resolved really soon (my tech skills are rough). In any event, our weekend was full of friends and football so no complaints here. We even had fall temperatures which was such a gift. Here is a peek of life lately with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
FOOTBALL SATURDAY
This was our fancy setup for Saturday afternoon! Despite having split screen, this is so much better when watching two games. We were cheering on our favorites and they happened to be playing at the same time. Gotta do what you gotta do!
FEELING LIKE FALL
Our mornings have actually been chilly which is wonderful. Blankets and hot coffee . . yes, please. These stems are an Amazon find. I have had them for years and love them. They are $20 for 6 stems.
My mug was a gift but I found this really cute Hello, Fall mug.
FRESH FROM THE GARDEN
We watched football with friends this weekend and we were gifted this from their garden. So beautiful. I am in awe of everyone who has a thriving garden. It’s next on our list.
DELICIOUS PESTO SAUCE
I immediately came home and made pesto for a chicken and pasta dish. Very simple recipe:
- 1/3 cup pinenuts (toasted)
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 1/3 cup of freshly grated Parmesan
- 3 cloves of garlic
- mix in high powered blender
- add in 1/3 up of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, pinch of sea salt and pepper
- blend and drizzle in olive oil until you get your desired consistency
Next time I will try walnuts instead of pine nuts which is what the one we buy from the Farmer’s market uses. It’s delicious.
WRITERS’ ROUND
We capped the weekend with live music which is always so special. That is one of the things we love about living in this area.
FAVORITE IN FALL
This was one year ago, October. My college friends and I did a trip to 30A, Florida. It is absolutely glorious in the Fall. September and October are so pretty with amazing temperatures. We will be booking another Fall trip down there.
OUR RENTAL
And if you are looking to do a getaway, the fall rates are 20% off. Which is actually awesome when it’s one of the best times to visit the area. If you have any questions about 30A, feel free to email me. We love it so much. We have an Instagram for our home called @relaxawayon30A or you can see the listing here. It’s our little slice of heaven.
We have made progress with the basement and I can’t wait to fill you this week. I am actually hopeful that we will be enjoying the space in a couple of months. Fingers crossed. We have visitors lined up so it sure would be nice to see things come together.
If you missed Saturday Shopping you can check that out here. And many of my current favorites can be found on my loving lately page.
Wishing you a really good start to the week.
