Good morning. The trees are blowing like crazy this morning so something tells me these beautiful fall leaves may not last much longer. I adore this time of year and wish fall would stick around. Are you hosting Thanksgiving, by the way? Would love to know in the comments below. We are and are so looking forward to it. Here are snippets of life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
LET’S DO THIS
So excited for this!!! The basement project is beginning to wrap up. We had originally planned to hire out for the picture frame molding but then realized it’s something we could probably tackle ourselves. Plus I hadn’t quite figured out where I wanted all of the boxes, so doing it ourselves gives us much more flexibility. Using base cap molding from Home Depot, a pin nailer and the scissors below . . . it’s a pretty basic DIY project. My dad passed along his love of math to me, so figuring out all of the measurements is my favorite part. Then this talented guy steps in to execute.
MITER SCISSORS
If you tackle any molding project, this tool is a game changer. No saw necessary. We are able to trim the pieces right in the room without a mess. For picture frame molding, you set the angle to 45 degrees and cut. That’s it!
A GREAT SWEATER
Saw this sweater in store and it’s so pretty. I would have bought it if I didn’t already have a similar one. This Fair Aisle sweater is also darling.
RILEY’S PICK
Riley has this set and it’s really cute. Cuter in person and comes in more colors for fall. A great teen/college girl Christmas gift idea. She also has this one and it’s beautiful. She wears it on her shoulders instead of off. And always gets compliments. A good one for sure.
We wore these matching pajamas all weekend. So incredibly soft and adorable ($20).
BEAUTIFUL TIERED TRAY
Happened by this marble tiered tray in Target and it’s really striking. Love it so much. Would make for a beautiful hostess gift idea.
SO NICE TO HEAR
It’s been a joy hearing from those of you who have ordered and love these products. I really appreciate knowing that what I am using is clean and I see such a difference in my skin. The F06 is my number one favorite. I have switched over my cleanser to this one and it removes makeup beautifully. It takes a minute to get used to using an oil, but I promise you do and it works so well. The anti aging face cream is what I use morning and night. A little goes a long way. It feels good to wake up with skin that looks hydrated. And when my college daughter says I am looking young . . . well, I’ll take that.
You can also take this quiz if you don’t know where to start (can qualify for a free product, too).
OUR GIRL
The best part of our week was that this sweet girl came home for a little R & R. It felt magical to have everyone under one roof. Nothing better. We said goodbye to her first thing this morning and I am already counting down the days until Thanksgiving break. She is doing so well and loves school, so that makes this mama heart happy.
But this is also why there was no Saturday Shopping post this week. We savored the time with our family of four.
This was the beautiful sunrise when we saw Riley off. Such a lovely way to start the day.
Wish us luck with the molding. It’s a pretty big space so it might take us some time. I hope you all have a really good week. I know there is a lot on everyone’s minds. Thank you for stopping in. Means so much.

Hey Courtney! Greetings from California. A question about the miter cutters: did you use them on wood moulding or the PVC moulding? They would be fabulous for a single gal like me. Many thanks!
