Good morning. I woke up naturally at 5:30 am and chose to close my eyes again. Needless to say I woke up an hour later and felt exhausted. Anytime I fall back asleep I wake up so darn tired. Does that ever happen to you? But it reinforced how much I appreciate my morning routine so I will be back to an early wake up time tomorrow. Here is a recap of life lately with our Monday wrap up.
HAND TIED BOUQUET
Our son had a dance this weekend and picked these flowers out for his beautiful date. He asked me to wrap them in brown paper (which I thought was darling). My trick to getting it right each time is cutting a piece of paper that is 16″ x 16″. Place the flowers in one corner, fold the bottom up to meet the stems, and then fold each side over the flowers. Tie with a bow and they will look great.
NINJA CREAMI RECIPE
I mentioned last week that after two years I finally like my Ninja Creami. I had written it off as it never seemed to work right for me. Apparently it was user error! I make one for my son every day so he can get more protein. He eats a container of this ice cream instead of drinking a shake and he loves it. Plus it satisfies his dessert craving (gets the sweet tooth from Grammy). Here are a couple of options that have worked well for us. By the way, using instant vanilla pudding mix now but just ordered a powdered collagen to replace that (you need one of them to make it creamier).
- one vanilla Fairlife protein shake (or any shake you like)
- 1 tablespoon of instant pudding mix (vanilla) or collagen powder
- one teaspoon vanilla extract
- blend well and pour into the creami container
or
- 12 oz milk of your choice
- one scoop of protein powder (vanilla)
- 1 tablespoon of instant pudding mix (vanilla) or collagen powder
- one teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of sea salt
- blend well and pour into the container
Freeze over night. When you go to make it, be sure to so scrape the top to make it flat. I find that freezing it without a lid helps it stay more flat. Let it sit out ten minutes then spin on lite ice cream. Open it up and add a tablespoon of milk. Select respin. Open it up and add one more splash of milk. Select respin. It comes out creamy and perfect every time. Tastes like ice cream!!!!
I never knew to add milk and respin twice. It makes all the difference in the world. So yummy!!!!
ON REPEAT OVER HERE
Been working on eating really clean and adding in more protein. If you would like some simple recipes I have been making and loving, let me know in the comments and I’ll start sharing those. This shrimp dish is a favorite.
WEEKEND FAVORITE
This was a favorite from this weekend. I just love it. Wore it out for our date night this weekend and had so many compliments. You can get caught up with Saturday Shopping here.
Heads up that everyone’s favorite “Botox in a bottle” is a free gift when you order two items from your skin quiz. It’s a $98 value which is wonderful. By the way, if you take the 2 minute quiz, be sure to scroll all the way down to see the recommended products.
This is my line up and I LOVE it. Eliminating all of the chemicals from skincare makes a huge difference. Plus these are waterless so much more potent (and they last a long time). A little goes a long way! If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me. F06 is one of my ride or die products (great for mature skin). If you are looking for a non-toxic makeup remover, this is what I use to cleanse my face and it works beautifully. Be sure to always use a wash cloth when removing makeup (my dermatologist taught my that).
BACK TO MY ROOTS
I went back to my roots. In fact, this photo makes it look more blonde than it is. Enjoying the brunette vibes but let’s see how I feel once the grays start coming back in! Goodness they come in quickly these days.
Dragging this morning so thinking I better get my steps and workout in early. Hope you have a little more pep in you step than I do! Make it a great day.
