Good morning. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration with the people you love. Such a beautiful renewal of hope. We sure enjoyed the family time and woke up feeling so grateful. Here is a bit of life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
CELEBRATED OUR GIRL

Riley came home for Easter weekend so we were able to celebrate her birthday a few days early. So nice to have this time with her. And while she came to us feeling under the weather, she was on the mend as she drove back to school this morning. Can hardly believe we move her out of her freshman dorm room in there weeks.
By the way, the gingham paper is the hearth and hand line from Target. If you ever see a cute print while your shopping grab it. Great quality and easy to wrap with. And this was her favorite gift. She put them on immediately.

This was from last year. The birthday banner is from Amazon. I use it all the time. If you are planning a big birthday, all of my go to supplies are linked here (the balloon garlands are not hard to make!!).
THIS TIME LAST YEAR

We were reminiscing about Riley’s 18th birthday celebration in the backyard. We did a brunch with her friends and it was so much fun! The thing that saved the day and what we call, “Party insurance” was the white tent. It started to rain for a few minutes so we were able to walk the tent over and cover all of this. Truly a life saver. The best money we spent for that day. It’s back in stock! We used it again for her outdoor graduation party and it came in clutch during a storm. Can’t recommend it enough.
*All of the details of this party can be seen here.

And this tent is much cuter than the average pop up. Truly so nice to have on hand if you are planning spring events that could see pockets of rain or weather.
COZY WEEKEND

The trees literally exploded with leaves this past weekend. There is always a couple of days where they look they were plugged in they are so bright and pretty. Favorite time of year for sure. We spent a good amount of time just enjoying being together and relaxing. Everyone needed it.
FIRESIDE DINNER

I snapped this photo a few days prior (before the leaves filled in). We’ve been taking dinner outside and sitting by the fire. This shrimp recipe is on repeat lately.
GLORIOUS DAY

We could not have asked for more perfect weather on Easter. It was a beautiful day celebrating. Even snuck in some quiet time on the porch to read. Currently reading, This Tender Land, and it’s fantastic.
EASTER CUPCAKES

In honor of my mom, I made these Easter cupcakes. She made them every year. They always bring back such special memories. She usually did chocolate as the base but since my son is not a chocolate fan I switched it up to banana muffins.
STRAWBERRY SALSA

Ya’ll, this is so good!!! It’s just a mixture of strawberries, cucumber, fresh basil, red onion, avocado and the juice of one lime. Mix it all together and it’s great over salmon or grilled chicken.
If you missed out on Saturday Shopping, you can take a look here.
Here’s to a really great week ahead. We have officially kicked off birthday season so I will be planning the next two celebrations! Make it a great day.
