Good morning! How was your weekend? We enjoyed beautiful blue skies, time with friends, and checking things off our to-do list. We spent a good amount of time in our front yard planting flowers and getting things cleaned up for the summer. This past week was definitely a whirlwind and truth be told I could use another weekend. Here is what we’ve been up to in the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
HISTORIC HOME

I attended my friend Cara Clark’s book launch this past week. The event was held at a historic home in Germantown (part of Nashville) and it was just beautiful. I could have moved into the home that day. It boasted two different courtyards which I think are so dreamy for entertaining.
Beyond proud of Cara and all that she has done to help women feel good. Her book, The Feel Good Way, is full of sage advice, education and scrumptious recipes that will leave you feeling good. I know because I have been making quite a few over the last couple of months. If you are focused on what you put in your body, the book delivers.
POWER HOUSE

Stacey was my very first friend when I moved here. She is a power house publicist but I know her best as an awesome mom of two (her kids are the exact ages as mine). We are even both hockey moms. Always nice when an event coincides with catching up with a dear friend.
SO BEAUTIUL

The best part was that all of the food being served came from Cara’s book and it was all fantastic.
OUR BIRTHDAY BOY

We also celebrated our 17 year old! What?! So many of you have been here from the beginning. Grady was 2 or 3 when I started my blog. Where does the time go. I shared 10 things I really want my son to know in this post.
If you don’t already have the balloon pump, it’s a game changer to have on hand. It’s tiny and takes up virtually no space but allows you to create these balloon garlands in no time. It’s $20 and we have had it for years. My husband blows up the balloons (takes about 20 minutes) and I make the garland. The garland comes together in about 20 minutes as well.
*This garland was from here ($8).
DOWTOWN NASHVILLE

Our son had an AP exam the day of his birthday but after that we headed to Nashville and had so much fun celebrating. An Escape Game coupled with a sushi was a winning combination. And truthfully just so great having both kids back together. So much laughter.
LUNCH LATELY

In case you are in a lunch rut, this has been on rotation over here. Ground turkey with yummy toppings. You could add any sauce or dressing you like. I just drizzle olive oil, sea salt and lime juice on mine.
BACK TO LIFE

These doors looked terrible! The sun really does a number on our stain. To bring them back to life like this, I just use an old sock (makes it easier to glove your hand with a sock) and this magic wax. It goes on like a dream and to see the stain rehydrate and look great again is so satisfying. I do this 2-3 times a year. I am still on my same bottle so it lasts forever. Great to have on hand.
VACATION TIME

Are you headed anywhere this summer? We can’t wait to be back on 30A with our family. I can feel the soft sand already. If you are interested in booking our townhome, you can check availability here. I have loved connecting with those of you who have rented it. Be sure to email me if you book dates so I can send over our recommendations.

Speaking of the beach, my daughter plans on taking this dress for a dinner out. So darling and just launched today. I ordered it for myself but the second it arrived she grabbed it and tried it on.

The dress also comes in navy and white. Really pretty in person . . . we will both get a lot of use out of this. The new arrivals that went live today can be seen here.
RAVE REVIEWS – ON SALE

Do you already buy these hotel pillows? Made with safer chemicals and over 250K amazing reviews. We have probably three sets by now. They are a good price to begin with but now there is a 40% off coupon! Definitely take advantage of that if your pillows could use a refresh.
*If you missed Saturday Shopping you can get caught up here. It’s a good one this week.
And now I hit the ground running. I am hosting book club this week and can’t wait to have the ladies over. And this week officially kicks off summertime once my son wraps up his last final tomorrow morning.
And to all of the senior moms, congratulations! You’re doing great. This time is full of emotions, tiring, exhilarating, and oh so special. Savor it all and know there will be time to rest later.
I shared some of Riley’s favorite grad gifts in this post.
