Monday Morning Wrap Up

June 9, 2025 by Courtney Leave a Comment

Good morning. I hope your weekend was a good one. We enjoyed plenty of time outdoors mixed with a good dose of home organization. We’ve been lucky to have amazing weather lately. My daughter and her friends were grateful as they attended CMA Fest all four days. Her love and appreciation for live music makes me so happy. Here is a bit of life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

SWEET MEMORIES

magnolia blooms

Our magnolia tree is in bloom and the scent is magical. My grandparents lived in Riverside, CA and the smell of the magnolia trees there is amazing. I remember being out in their backyard smelling the blooms. It all came rushing back when I was in our backyard this weekend. Such sweet memories.

FRESH HAIR

I am days away from turning 50 and the grays are coming in strong. Thankful for fresh roots and color for the summer.

ALL IN ONE SPOT

dorm finds

With so many of you getting ready to send your children off to college, I rounded up the dorm finds we found most useful. They are all linked here.

LEIPER’S FORK

With such beautiful weather, we spent an afternoon in Leiper’s Fork. Love listening to live music at Fox and Locke. We seem to always run into friends there which makes it even better.

A GREAT CAUSE

The hydrangeas everywhere are so pretty. Ours are about to burst in our front yard and I can’t wait. Every morning when I step outside for morning light I check on them. I keep saying, “Any day now!” I hope I’m right.

If you are familiar with Chris Stapleton, his wife has this beautiful store in Leiper’s Fork. Right now all of the turquoise pieces are from the late 1800s – early 1900s. Each one honoring Native American culture and communities. Every purchase supports the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center.

PATINA HOME AND GARDEN

Patina Home and Garden is another favorite of ours. It’s even better when you walk in and you find musicians playing these guitars. The store sits on the creek and it’s just so charming.

GETTING ORGANIZED

closet organization

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my complete closet overhaul. I’m not quite finished but I did share the embarrassing before photos. I think life with a college freshman and other things going on took priority and my closet fell to the bottom of the list. In any event, it was time. I literally took EVERYTHING out and it was the best way to do it. More on that process soon. Here is a peek at my shelves (which were a disaster).

The handbag dividers, belt storage and sunglass tray were not only game changers, but they make the shelves feel more like a boutique and I love it. Everything I used can be found here.

DATE NIGHT

date night

We enjoyed a fun date night on Friday night. I have been loving the monochromatic look lately. Outfit details are here. These heels are a 10/10 for me. Amazon and so comfortable. The clutch is also on repeat during spring and summer.

SATURDAY SHOPPING

If you missed out on Saturday Shopping, it was a good one! You can get caught up here. I included my go-to pajama pants that made the cut (and the ones I put on the minute I am in for the night . . . so good).

I am hitting the ground running today. Suddenly finding myself with an incredibly long to-do list. Anyone else? I guess that means we enjoyed ourselves this weekend. Make it a great Monday. I’ll be back tomorrow with some fun Father’s Day gift ideas.
