Mothers. There is no other being on this planet like them. Mothers love with with every ounce of their being and give graciously of their time and their spirit. That is the mom I grew up with. I spent time with my mom just yesterday and we had so much fun reminiscing about the past. We talked about my pregnancies and how difficult they were. I was on bed rest with my daughter for over 13 weeks. My mom came every day to be with me. Mother’s Day is just around the corner. The older I get, the more I value just spending time with my mom. But I will let you in on a little secret. . . no matter how much she ages matures, the woman loves a good gift. My sister and I even laugh about it. The woman has everything you can imagine, but there is something about a pretty package that she can not resist. So in honor of my present loving mama, I rounded up some beautiful gift ideas.

My sweet mom has always loved a nice handbag. I guess I get my love for purses from her. I stumbled upon the scalloped line of Kate Spade purses while shopping at Nordstrom the other day and almost couldn’t control myself. They are so cute in person it’s not right. And Nordstrom is price matching many of the styles right now which means at least 25% off. The pink clutch with the strap is on my wish list {just in case my hubby is snooping my site for Mother’s Day ideas}. Of course the tassels are killing it in the charm department as well.

Is it just me or do perfume bottles get cuter and cuter. The “Walk on Air” bottle is so darn cute. I love a great Mac lip and NARS pencil, too. Great prices and a fun little idea if you ever give Mother’s Day gifts to your friends.

My best fiend actually turned me on to Philosophy a few years back and I have been hooked ever since. She gave me the Grace perfume and I adore it. Funny story. The other day, my daughter came in my room so I could do her hair. Holy cow. She smelled like she had taken a bath in perfume. Well she found my Grace and sprayed it ALL OVER HER BODY. We had a very lovely discussion about her being too young for perfume. We also had a lesson in the “walk through” one spray only method of applying perfume. Oh, it was a very scented conversation. I began to wash it off of her wrists . . . and her arms. . . and her forehead. . . and her legs. . . yep . . she had put it EVERYWHERE! Nordstrom has an awesome collection of this brand and the prices are great right now. And since my daughter used half the bottle of Grace I may need to replenish soon.

Much of these should look familiar. I love to include a favorites list. I wear most of these every day. And if you have read my blog at all you know that I have a thing for scarves. Obsession? Well, maybe yes! I even used one on our table yesterday. And the Chanel powder reminds me of my youth. My brother used to give my mom a box of Chanel powder each year. She would keep it right near the tub and I loved the way she smelled after using it. Sentimental pick for sure. And this little number has been price matched and would make a wonderful gift. Be sure to pop back over tomorrow. I have a fun party setup to share with you.
Proud to partner with Nordstrom on this Mother’s Day post. Affiliate links used.

The NARS lip pencil and MAC lipstick rock! They are my go-to lip essentials. And you can't go wrong with any philosophy products. Which "grace" scent is your favorite? I am partial to living grace – very beachy and spa-like.

Have you ever used philosophy shampoo or conditioner? I have very fine hair and have used Paul Mitchell for years. Been trying a few different brands that I haven't liked. I've heard good
