Good morning, sweet friends! I am taking a break from the usual Monday Wrap-Up to share some really beautiful images from an event I attend recently. Occasionally, if something crosses your path and is outside of your comfort zone, I am gently pushing you to do it. Whether it’s attending an event where you don’t know anyone or putting yourself out there to publish that first blog post, I often find the most rewarding experiences stem from challenging myself.
My friends at Serene & Lily hosted this beautiful wreath-making event. Anyone could attend and it was a beautiful December day. While there were friends who attended as well as a sweet girl and her grandmother, there were also ladies who showed up on their own. Never easy to walk into an event without a sidekick. I know because I have pushed myself to do that over and over. While it’s not my comfort zone, I know that I always walk away thankful that I did something all on my own.

I will let Elizabeth’s beautiful pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy.
Local friends, Sidecar Donuts never disappoint. What a beautiful way to display donuts. Thought you could easily replicate this idea at home on a smaller scale.
Looking for a festive cocktail? Champagne over cranberries and rosemary. You can add a splash of cranberry juice, too. So lovely to look at and very refreshing.

Need a holiday do? A low ponytail with a piece of silk or velvet ribbon makes getting out the door quick and easy, but still so fun for the season.
Thank you to Serena and Lily for such a fun event. It was wonderful to meet new people and enjoy a creative morning.
Every once in a while we hear that inner voice challenging us to do something new and different. If you are kicking around an idea that may cause a bit of trepidation, I am the friend telling you to take the risk. Whether it’s big or small, you’ll never regret getting after it. Despite the outcome, a lesson will be learned. Start by telling someone your idea or thought. Big believer in giving our intentions power.
Would love to know in the comments if you have something you’ve been wanting to do. Just by sharing it could get the ball rolling.
*A fantastic example of someone taking a risk and going for it is my talented photographer friend Elizabeth Johnson.

Your blog today reminded me of a quote I received just the other day from gratefulness.org:
“Why not go out on a limb? Isn’t that where the fruit is?

I made a bold step eight years ago by posting a status on Facebook asking who wanted to join a bookclub – and then formed a bookclub with all the ladies that replied. Our bookclub s now eight years old and we meet once a month, and have formed the most amazing friendships x
