Just over here praying for sunny skies. We are hosting a backyard party tomorrow for our daughter and we will need a serious shift in the weather forecast. Thinking positively. I did buy this just in case (amazing price). In home decor news, I have been working on some fun spaces and rounded up pretty neutral pieces. There is something so calming about starting with a neutral palette and adding in greenery or switching things up with seasonal decor.
NEUTRAL HOME DECOR
- white nightstands – an all time favorite, have used in two spaces
- striped bed – have had my eye on this forever
- wicker table – adds so much texture
- wheat straw plates – won’t break, safe in the microwave & dishwasher
- beaded chandelier – ordered this
- faux tree – so good
- dining table – fantastic reviews and price, ordered for a project of mine
- white chairs – we have these in black and have been so happy
- sconces – these are so pretty and look high end
Thought these were really great. They are made of wheat straw and won’t break. Plus they can go in the dishwasher, too. They are 100% BPA free and the set of six bowls, cups and plates is under $30.
Spring always finds me wanting to simplify the color scheme and stick to greenery and texture. In case you missed it, I shared a new installment of Pay This, Not That this week. Some of the finds save thousands of dollars.

Sorry to hear you have cloudy skies! If it helps, we’ve got May Gray in SoCal (which set in about three weeks ago haha). Hope the skies clear for your weekend!

I hope the May gray disappears for you, too!!! Over her praying!

Saw your instagram and I am so sorry to hear you injured yourself. I have had therapy for sciatica, if that is what your pain is from, and two of the exercises I was told to do have helped me quite a bit. One is to lay flat on your back with a pillow under your head, raise your knees up with feet flat, and push the small of your back as flat as you can for a count of 20 and release and repeat. I was told you can even do this in bed before you get up in the morning if you are feeling pain. Another is to keep one hand on a table or the countertop and use your right hand to pull of your right ankle behind you and you feel the pulling in your thigh, again for a count of 20 and then do the same for your other ankle. Hope these might help. Happy belated birthday to your sweet daughter and rain or shine, I am sure your party will be lovely!
