Neutral Living Room: Client Progress

September 17, 2014 by Courtney 10 Comments

Today I wanted to share with you some progress I have made on a local client. She has the cutest new place and I feel honored that she has entrusted me to help her make it a home. While I am still not taking on new clients, I couldn’t resist this fun opportunity! While new paint, floors, trim work and built ins are being worked on . . . I am scheming and shopping away. The overall look of the space will be very neutral. That way she can infuse any color she wants at any time. Here is a look at some of the pieces we have been pulling together. Of course the new Nate Berkus line at Target has found it’s way into her comfy lounge space! Sources listed below {great rug sale!}.   aneutrallivingroom lamp | end table | sofa | coffee table | tree basket | pouf | chair gold ball | black vase | rug {sale} | stripe pillow | graphic pillow | lumbar I love the white sofa and warm wood tones mixed with gold and black. The rug and sofa will arrive in a couple of weeks. We just found the most beautiful dining table, too, which should be delivered shortly. I will be back to update you on the project as we tackle the entire home! Enjoy your day. Off to decorate!

This living area will be very versatile and usable, I love that you are creating a neutral space for the client and adding color by swapping little details. I love the gold ottoman and have recently added the gold ball/container to my decor. I store matchsticks in there. 🙂 Happy decorating!

Oh such a cute idea. It's so fun to be able to add color when the mood strikes . . or for holidays!

Love this! What type of software or program do you use to create these beautiful mood boards? I'd love to put one together for my office redo. Thank you!

Hi Terrie! I wanted to thank you for your comment on my JJill post. I had to take it down for a bit and the comment was erased:( I hope you check this. You do not have an email associated when you comment so I can not email you directly.

I used Olioboard for this one. But there are a lot of great ones out there if you do a google search.

I love neutral rooms, with just a pop of color in pillows or accents. Gorgeous design Courtney!
