How are you? I feel like it’s been a minute. I stepped away for our family trip to Florida. It felt wonderful to unplug and be fully present. In fact, I didn’t even pull out my camera very often. I think once Riley went away to school, these days where we can just be together are even more special. If you are unfamiliar with 30A, it’s a highway that runs along the Gulf Coast in Florida. It’s lined with charming towns and the most beautiful beaches. We truly exhale there and it’s quickly become very special to our family.
TAKE ME BACK

It’s a short flight, but this time we drove from Tennessee. While the kids and I unpack, my husband makes a quick run to Publix so we have what we need for the week. Then we hop on the golf cart and head to the beach for sunset. My very favorite time at the beach and always the first thing we do.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL POOL

Our place is in Prominence which is a neighborhood of townhomes centrally located around a great pool. It’s ideal for families or girls’ trips. I recently went with my dear friends and it was so much fun. The pool has covered cabanas which is wonderful if you are more of a shade gal like me.

We are also big fans of taking out the bikes. What is it about hopping on a bike that makes you feel like a kid again? We love riding these once the sun goes down, too. There are always people out and about riding bikes in the neighborhood and it’s so much fun.

Catching sunset on the sand the first night has always been a tradition for us. It’s such a great way to kick off the beach vacation. There is nothing like the sand along these beaches. Beyond soft and the water is crystal clear.
BEACH DAYS

I brought this bag with us for the first time and now I see why everyone loves it. It’s fantastic and half the price of the designer version. Because it is sturdy (yet lightweight) and stands up, it holds everything so well. We piled books, snacks, sunscreen, and all of our towels in it without an issue. The sand easily wipes right out of it or you can wash it off. Highly recommend. This is the large size bag (currently on sale).
Not pictured are the sand mitts. We LOVE them. Every family should have these. They quickly and easily wipe of sand before heading into your car or home. Lifesaver. I also like these to toss into the bag to separate things like phones and sunscreen.
ALYS BEACH

Alys beach is five minutes away and such a beautiful spot. They are known for the all white architecture and clean lines. We love it because it’s home to some of our favorite restaurants including Fonville Press, Raw & Juicy, Citizen, and Oku.
OKU SUSHI

If you are going to treat yourself, I highly recommend Oku. We love sitting outside and the service is top notch. Truly outstanding sushi. We had such a fun family night here . . .one of those where you are so grateful everyone’s mood is great and fully enjoying each other.
CITIZEN

Citizen is a spot Ryan and I love and always head to for a quick date afternoon or evening. The Green Daisy is their latest mocktail and it’s delicious. Always good food and drinks here at the Citizen. They also have a lovely patio area.
ROSEMARY BEACH

If you head another five minutes down the road you will find yourself in Rosemary. It’s beyond charming and you know you are there because of the gorgeous trees. It’s a one of a kind town.

Each home is cuter than the last. I love all of the beautiful doors and pretty courtyards. There are so many great restaurants . . . I always recommend hitting up Gallion’s as well as Pescado for sunset views. They open at 4:00 and you can’t beat the outdoor patio. La Crema is so much fun for chocolate fondu (great for dinner as well). Kilwin’s Ice Cream is a must do as well.
SEASIDE
Seaside is a ten minute drive and known for it’s famous post office and food trucks. This are is adorable and so picturesque. We like to hit up the shops. My son loves the record store and my daughter always finds something fun at the book store below.
BUD AND ALLEY’S

If you hit up Seaside, Bud & Alley’s has great views. We like to do lunch or an early dinner there. After 3:00 it’s open seating and you can beat the vistas.
A FAVORITE TRAVEL DRESS

I have been taking this dress on all of our trips lately. So happy to see it back in stock. It’s remarkably comfortable and easy to dress up or down. These Target sandals have five star reviews for a reason. Besides these sandals, I also brought these heels (crazy comfortable). Other than that it was flip flops or sneaker for me.
MORNING WALKS

Without question, my favorite time of the day is early morning on the beach. We love to do a 3-4 mile walk. Walking bare foot is great or I use these waterproof sneakers.
*And I am still a Vuori girl. I love these leggings.
ON REPEAT

Looking for a classic one piece? Love this $30 one! And the packable hat and bracelets are something I always pack.
OUR TOWNHOME RENTAL

A few of you asked where we stay when I shared on stories. This is our 3 bedroom townhome in Prominence. We feel honored when any of you rent it. It’s special to host families that know us from this space. And it’s been fun establishing friendships with those of you who have reached out.
*This table has held up beautifully. We used the Serena & Lily Bistro chairs in this space, but iIf you are looking for a budget friendly set of bistro chairs, these are great. The beaded chandelier we used is a far less expensive option than the Serena & Lily version. The blackout drapes are a price performer and have been wonderful.
QUEEN BUNKROOM

This room has two queen beds and a walk in closet. Riley claims this mattress is the most comfortable in the house.
KING BEDROOM

This room has a king size bed and spacious closet. All of the bedrooms have a tv in them.
PRIMARY BEDROOM

The primary bedroom has a king size bed and attached bathroom. My favorite room in the house. If you would like to check availability you can do so here.
*Our best selling bed is a good one. Our color is Classic Talc Linen. The rug has held up beautifully. There were a few spots that came off so easily with soap and water. Highly recommend.

It was really hard to leave this time. I think we all relaxed so much and enjoyed the change of pace. I’m already planning when we can get back. Have you ever been?
*If you are headed to Nashville anytime soon, you can find our recommendations here.
Even though I live in San Diego, I always think the Florida beaches are the most beautiful in the country. I love the water and the light there. Sounds like such a great trip!
