A couple of weeks ago, my dad celebrated his birthday {it was a big one!} and my sister threw the most beautiful party. We are so blessed to have our family close by and spending evenings together is what we love to do. My sister and business partner {Casey Grace Design} is so very talented. She always creates the most beautiful tables and is such a gracious host. Here are some scenes from the beautiful blue party. 
I just adore the idea of using fresh flowers and vegetables on the table. Especially during fall. She combined beautiful hydrangeas, artichokes, eggplant and moss to create a gorgeous centerpiece. She has also used artichokes as votives. So very clever. 
I love the blue mason jars wrapped in a touch of burlap. Such a sweet and fun touch.

As dusk approached, the scene just grew prettier. Feel so lucky to be a part of this family and spending evenings together like this is what life is all about.

Pretty! Love the use of the veggies in the centerpiece. I will say that this is way more than what we do for a family gathering, even for a birthday. Paper plates and napkins, plastic forks, etc. are more our usual. This seems much more formal.

Ah it looks so dreamy. I've been thinking of ways we can add string lights in our backyard. It's sets such a wonderful atmosphere. Wish it would get cooler here so we could dine outside! It's the best.
