We have a small patio just outside of our dining room. It has always been nice because we can open the French doors and extend our dining space. It isn’t huge, but for some reason it is one of my favorite spaces. My sweet hubby strung lights across the space and I love seeing them glow each night. Years ago we purchased the gray Ikea outdoor table and chairs. It has been great out there. But it was starting to stain and was just looking a bit dull. I really wanted to give it a fresh new look. White spray paint to the rescue! In one day it went from drab and gray to fresh and clean. I’m really excited with the outcome. Here it is before painting it. I love the lights at night. Nice place to hang with the hubby. We loved it gray but we were just in the mood for a fresh coat of white. I used Rustoleum flat spray paint. It took about four or five coats. No joke. The first two coats were absorbed almost immediately and I was left with a gray table. But I stayed the course and continued to add a coat about every 30 minutes. I only wanted to do the top, so I was careful to tape off the legs, the edge and of course protect the patio stonework. I’m excited that the paint gave the table new life. I am looking forward to throwing my next party out here. I love how any color I put on the table now pops so well. Have you busted out the spray paint lately? Always an easy way to breathe new life into pieces. Outdoor Table Runner Tutorial Here

What a great outdoor space and I love how you recreated your table. Sometimes a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference in the world… 🙂

Looks great! I need to do our patio furniture too but that project will have to start at daylight because it's so hot. 🙂

I love how it turned out. We purchased the same set last year and love it. Good to know it can be painted in the future.

Very inviting! Love the lights. Can you tell me what you strung them up too? Are they from target?
