Party Planning: It’s Great to Turn Eight

March 31, 2014 by Courtney 14 Comments

Happy Monday, all! We had one of those weekends where we worked really hard and felt super productive. That mixed in with some nice outdoor time with good friends. My husband and kiddos volunteered at the school for an annual Spring Spruce Up. They came home tired and covered in dirt. It was good for the kids to see a community working so hard to landscape their school. While they were doing that I was on a secret painting mission in the house. Can’t wait to share it with you. I did post a sneak peek on Instagram. This time of year is hectic for us. All good things, but hectic. We are in party planning mode for my sweet daughter. I can not believe she is turning eight. That hardly makes sense because I just had her yesterday. Or so it seems. Our daughter has party planning in her blood and has been scheming and planning for weeks. I thought I would show you some of the cute PInterest ideas she has been rounding up with me. cherryblossoms cherryparty via icing designs fortunecookie via one charming party sushi via betty crocker candysushiparty via sweetest kitchen Can you tell what the theme is?! Ha! This is entirely her idea and she can’t wait. I won’t make any promises that things will look this beautiful, but it’s nice to have some inspiration to carry out her ideas. Wishing you all a very nice Monday. Off to help in the classroom and then finish up some painting. Enjoy your day! Too cute! We have made the rice krispie sushi recipe since it can be made gluten free and love it! It's a fun sweet treat! What fun birthday parties!

She could start a tradition and do a different country every year. Play pin the "tail" on the map each year – the winner is the one closest to that year's theme, of course!
