Sharing a really quick tip today that has been so helpful. Do you ever buy gorgeous hydrangeas from the market only to find them wilted the next day? It’s so hit or miss and it’s so sad when they look wilted within hours. This quick tip will help you revive your hydrangeas so they can brighten your home for much longer.
HOW TO REVIVE HYDRANGEAS
WHEN THEY LOOK LIKE THIS . . .
I absolutely love hydrangeas but they can wilt very quickly. I’ve even bought them to create centerpieces only to find they are looking sad and dreary the very next day. The next time that happens, try this tip to bring them back to life.
- dump the water in your vase and fill the vase with fresh, cold water, set aside
- boil a small pot of water on the stove
- trim the ends of your hydrangeas at an angle
- once the water is boiling, submerge the ends for 30 seconds
- place back into the fresh cold water
- a few ours later (or sooner) your hydrangeas will look like new
This was about two hours after I submerged the ends in boiling water. I hope this is helpful the next time your flowers are look sad far too soon. And if you really want them to stay looking fresh, try this faux set. It’s so realistic looking.
