Happy Saturday! We still have three weeks before schools starts in our area, but we are getting ready. We have some fun thing planned for the last part of summer so I want to have all of our ducks in a row so we don’t have to worry. We made the annual run to Target the other day for all of their school supplies. It might be one of my favorite days of the year. There is something so great about picking out fresh pencils, paper and crayons. I think it’s the ex-teacher in me or just that I always loved school so much. A few great sales this weekend that I am taking advantage of for my own children so I wanted to keep you in the loop.

Love this one because your son or daughter can choose from many pictures to go on the stripes. And, well, I love stripes.
The great thing is that these are 25% off right now and with free shipping today. We also really like the ones from Pottery Barn Teen as they are a bit larger. This is where I buy my children’s lunch boxes each year. And this year I am considering those bento box containers as I am so so tired of having 4-5 separate containers to clean each day. I am also planning on having the children pack their lunches with me. I think having the bento boxes will make it easier because they will pick out one fruit, one veggie, one treat, etc. You get the idea.

cute clothes on sale
We also happened by Gap Kids yesterday and saw that there was a great sale going on. Both kids picked out a few things for school and each you get 40% off your entire purchase. We always buy jeans for R here because they come in slim and she is a petite thing. She also loved this cardigan which made mama happy. And my son is a t-shirt boy but he has to pick them out himself! He left with a couple of these and at 40% off they were a great deal.

And now we are off to enjoy the day. We are moving a bit slowly over here. Still in pajamas and pancakes about to be had. A perfect Saturday. Hoping my productivity level goes up in a few hours!

I really like the Bento Boxes – wish they had been around when my children were young! I see there are some great suggestions on Pinterest that the kiddos might want to consider when helping to pack their lunches. 🙂

Cute bags! We had the pink all-in-one storage container last year and didn’t like it. Unfortunately the compartment with the lid isn’t leak proof and the container was hard for my 6 year old to open. Just thought I’d pass that info on ( :
