Saturday Shopping: Feeling Preppy

What a day! We spent the morning at my daughter’s dance recital. It was her first big production and we are so crazy proud of her. As a mommy, my heart was beating out of my chest the entire time. You just want your child to feel good! She was fantastic and loved every minute of it. But now it’s time for some Saturday Shopping. And first a big thanks to those of you who email me and tell me that you were inspired by a certain outfit or that you picked up something you love. It makes these posts all the more fun for me. Today I am showing you some of my tried and true preppy looks. You all know I am a sucker for stripes and nothing says preppy like mint and navy. They also have plain ones that I wear all the time.  These are cut low on the side so you need to wear a little bandeau top or another tank under it. I wear them with jeans and shorts on a weekly basis. I am wearing an xs. navy blazer | similar wedges | darling pump wedge I might be hot where you are, but I am always in need of something to keep me warm when I go into shops or restaurants. I love a blazer for that. Easy to wear and pulls off the preppy look. I pair mine with white shorts, sandals or wedges. More stripes! I wear my navy and white striped tank ALL THE TIME. I wear it with ripped jeans, shorts and skirts. The tank is also a great price. I’ve searched for weeks to find one similar to mine. It has that cute white section up top. At long last, I found one and it’s a great price. And on major sale right now. I love the gathering on the sides because it looks a little more pulled together. I keep it simple with a gold necklace and white shorts. And here is a scarf tip. . . if you have a cute scarf that is too big to tie on your tote. . . just tie a bit of it and stuff the rest inside your bag. It instantly adds great color to your outfit. tee {on sale for $14} These are also great tees and they are on sale right now. really good for layering or wearing alone. I would wear it with these sandals or a pair of heels.   striped skirt pink sweater I know you are wondering why a sweater for summer. . . our evenings get cool and I am telling you it is sooooooooooo cute with white or navy shorts. And lightweight. Great for fall as it rolls around, too. But really . . .how can you go wrong with a pink summer sweater? This is on my wish list. I am saving up because it is so darn cute.
