Saturday Shopping | Lavender + White

Did anyone else think this week flew? Holy cow. It’s so nice to sip coffee this morning and enjoy the slower pace. This is the first weekend in quite some time where we don’t have a morning baseball game. Having it in the afternoon is a treat for us today. Raise your hands if you wore Keds when you were little? I have crazy vivid memories wearing white Keds most of my elementary school career. And then they came out with the chambray ones in high school and I went bananas. Well, I’m back to loving my Keds. They had me at lavender and super comfy. periwinkle sneakers | scarf $12 | jacket | similar dress | sunglasses $12 I have always been a white sundress girl. This one I have owned for years and they are showing dresses just like this again. This one is super similar. I think a white sundress is one of the easiest looks for summer. Add any color and immediately have a nice fresh look. This scarf happened to match the sneakers perfectly and it has a nice lightweight feel for summer. And the price rocks. Tip: online it is called light blue but it is definitely lavender. Here are some more cute white dresses for summer.

  When I bought my daughter her new sandals at Nordstrom, I popped into my section. I haven’t had a fresh pair of sneakers in over a couple of years. I had no intention of going lavender until I saw them. So darn cute. And I must say they are crazy comfy. They have a cushioned sole and feel great. Fit tips: I normally wear a 7 1/2 and found those slipped off of my heel. The 7 is great so my advice is order one half size down. And they call this color periwinkle. My other tip is to sprinkle baby powder inside any shoe you plan to wear without socks. I almost went for the pink Converse which are pretty darn cute. All in all, Nordstrom has some great sneakers right now and there are price points for everyone. I rounded up a bunch that are all under $100.

You can beat the comfy factor of a simple dress and sneakers. Are you a fan of the look? Warmer months also mean more white! These white pants are a summer staple for me. And I also really love these sneakers with my white pants. The lavender looks so fresh next to the white and it’s a great transition.     So now we enjoy a slower paced morning until we head to baseball. We will spend the evening entertaining some dear friends of ours which always makes me happy.
