Simple Fall Décor: Inexpensive Additions

September 24, 2014 by Courtney 7 Comments

It’s Fall, y’all! I have not even scratched the surface of adding fall touches to our home. The bathroom renovation is taking up a lot of our time so I am a tad behind. I really do need to take “summer” off of our front porch! I did add just a couple of touches to our family room and already it feels more warm and cozy. I added a rope pillow and plaid throw to one of our chairs. I decided to toss it right over the sheepskin to keep it extra cozy. That mixed with some cute pumpkins and wheat and it’s feel a lot like fall. I wanted to post this just to show you how easy it really is to change things up and create a new feel for the season. It does not have to be expensive or fancy, either. warmingtofall   warminguptofall I pulled out some faux stems I had in the garage and swapped out the cute floral ceramic bowls for some of the wicker spheres I have. Easy and quick. I bought both the pillow and throw at HomeGoods. Wishing I could link to them for you. Instead I rounded up some great priced items below. Many of them are on sale {especially the pieces from Target}. fallaccents pumpkin |  candle | plaid throw | gold pumpkins | basket | chevron pouf Truth be told, I never like to store much so I try to keep to really simple touches for each season. I think a little goes a long way. And pillows and throws are always key. Last year, I recovered our outdoor pillows. They are removable covers made from a shower curtain. Because they easily come off after fall, that means no storing extra pillows around here!

Thank you for sharing all the cute fall pieces. Great finds from HomeGoods. I love that your decor does not feature too many "traditional: fall accents and uses some muted tones that beautifully match the rest of your house. The chair looks so cozy you just want to sit there with a cup of tea and read a book. 🙂

Love your fall touches, Courtney. I am like you and do not like to store a lot of seasonal items so like just a few things. Just a heads up that I did find some cute chicken wire black baskets at the Target Dollar Spot for only $3. I put some red apples in them for a bit of instant seasonal decor.

Your Fall touches look very pretty and cozy. Love the plaid throw. A plaid throw makes me think of cuddling up by a fire with a yummy mug of hot cocoa. Hoepfully this weekend I can bring in a bit of Fall to our house. Beautifully done Courtney!
