Small Space Storage & Keep C.A.L.M. Link Party #2

October 11, 2012 by Courtney 17 Comments

It’s that time again. Time to party it up with your organizational tips. And if you are just here to browse, welcome! I hope you find some great tips to use in your own home. I am sharing how I store my table linens. I am a huge fan of things serving double duty. In my living room, we have an ottoman/bench that serves as our coffee table. The story of where it came from can be read right here. 5 Because it opens it is a great place to tuck things away that you don’t need to grab all of the time. I choose to store my table linens in this. It has been perfect for my runners and napkins. It’s close to our dining room so when we are hosting a party and I am planning the tablescape it’s easy to see what I have. linens I roll my runners so they do not wrinkle and tie them up with some twine to keep everything tidy. That makes it easier to shuffle them around while I look for what I need. IMG_9699 I use the clear Itso bins from Target to host my napkins. stacknapkins I don’t want to dig through the stacks of napkins so I have rolled up one of each so that I can easily see what colors I have and take them to the table to test them out. IMG_9696 I have been known to make many of my runners. Below are two that I have made. You can read a tutorial for the chevron runner here and see the burlap one here. IMG_9701 IMG_9702 And now it’s your turn. Time to strut your stuff and show us spaces that you have organized or little tips you may have. I will pick some of my favorites to feature next week. Please just be sure to link back to this original post with a text link or button. Thank you. calm

You know how I feel about secret storage! Love this idea of rolling the runners and just one napkin – so smart girlie! I see some linens being reorganized over here very soon.

Great idea to roll up the linens. I have mine folded and stacked and they get so wrinkled. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for hosting this great party! I was inspired by so many of your fabulous link-ups…not to mention your WAY too smart table linen storage idea! BTW…very impressed that your kiddos stay out of that storage ottoman. (Mine like to hide inside of ours when they play hide and seek…which is why ours will have to wait a few more years;) xo

Thanks so much for hosting this fun party. I love organizing, so I hope it's okay that I linked up a post from last year about my craft room. If you only want new posts, then please remove it — I'll totally understand.

I really like the idea of using the ottoman for storing your table linens — that is so clever!

Great place to store your linens! I just took my bath towels out and have them rolled (like a spa!) in my bathroom to free up space in my linen closet for place mats and napkins, etc.
